Much more than just a city garden, the walled Chinese Garden respectfully recreates the philosophy and harmony of a traditional Chinese garden in its waterfalls, lakes, exotic plants, pavilions and hidden pathways. With koi carp swimming in the lakes, willows weeping in the breeze and a teahouse serving Chinese tea and dim sum. The Chinese Garden of Friendship is a tourist attraction located at Darling Harbour. There is an entry fee into the gardens, but they are only partially accessible to wheelchair users. There is a ramp at the front of the venue providing step-free access. Pathways and pavilions in the lower garden are accessible for wheelchairs, however, steps and rocky pathways make the upper part of the garden difficult to access. The closest passenger drop-off point to the garden and accessible parking possibility is on Harbour Street. The Chinese Garden has a fully upgraded accessible toilet.

Chinese Garden Of Friendship

Central station is at the southern end of the Sydney CBD. It is the largest and busiest railway station in NSW and services almost all of the lines on the Sydney Trains network, and is the major terminus for NSW TrainLink services. It occupies a large city block separating Haymarket, Surry Hills, and the CBD, bounded by Railway Square and Pitt Street in the west, Eddy Avenue in the north, and Elizabeth Street in the east. It is spread over two levels. On the lower-level are the trains serving the Sydney network. The platforms are reached by a series of lifts.

On the upper level are the Country trains serving the wider NSW network, from the original Grand Concourse. The two levels are connected by a large lift. Very occasionally, if this is not operating, a member of station staff can escort you through a staff only route, between the two levels.

The taxi pickup and drop-off point is on the upper Grand Concourse level.

If replacement buses are running when there are line closures, these leave from Eddy Avenue, near the taxis.

The Social Quarter

Braza Darling Harbour is an accessible restaurant located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout, and most tables are accessible. There are wooden benches in the outdoor area but it would be possible to make an arrangement with the venue. Staff can arrange a wheelchair accessible table outside and provide enough space between the tables depending on the time of the day. If the venue is too busy, however, they won’t be able to. There is a shared accessible toilet and accessible parking spots can be found on Darling Harbour.

Braza Darling Harbour

Tumbalong Park is very wheelchair friendly. The Terrain is flat and smooth and within the park you can either find ramps or lifts to access other areas. The park is completely accessible, there are no areas which a wheelchair user cannot access. The park has two big picnic and playground areas where everyone can take a break and enjoy the park.
There is accessible parking on Wheat Road in Darling Harbour, next to the aquarium. You will find 6 designated parking spots which are generally free of charge.
Wheelchair users will also find an accessible public toilet.

Tumbalong Park

An American Staple comes to Australia. 
Step free wheelchair accessible entrance, plenty of space inside to manoeuvre around, low counter making it easy to order and bee seen.

Indoor seating, tables are a bit close together, but there is room on the end of tables for a wheelchair.  There are also booths which again can also fit a wheelchair at the end of the table. Tables are a bit low if you are using an electric Wheelchair but can easily  accommodate height of manual wheelchair.

Ordering stations are design so you can wheel right up to and under them so you can reach the screen.

Very different to Gomez Y Gomez Tacos, might me an acquired taste for Australians, but definitely an experience.

The Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre is an intimate venue located near Darling Harbour on the western fringe of Sydney’s CBD, with terrific transport links via train, bus, light rail and road. The Shift Eatery in Surry Hills is a trendy, 100% plant-based café known for its delicious vegan sandwiches, coffee, and brunch dishes. The café is wheelchair accessible thanks to a ramp at the entrance, allowing mobility devices to enter the venue without any issues. However, since it is a small space, navigating inside may be more challenging during busy hours. You can easily place your order inside and enjoy your coffee or meal in either the indoor or outdoor seating areas, depending on the weather.

Hyde Park is a great city park that covers two blocks in the heart of the city.  It is only one block up from the main shopping area of the Pitt Street Mall and is a good spot to take some lunch and escape all the hustle and bustle.  The park is accessible and has good paths throughout for a wheelchair. Hyde Park offers step-free access from entrances on College Street and Elizabeth Street. The park is mostly of a gentle gradient, with some areas on a slight slope. There is a step running round the perimeter of every area of grass, which may mean they are inaccessible. There is a public toilet situated in the south-west corner of the park at Museum station. Accessible parking spots can be found in the carpark on Elizabeth Street.

It is better to visit the venue on a weekday as it is very busy on the weekend and there wont be much space for a wheelchair.

There is a lift in the foyer which provides step-free access to the venue, which is situated on level one. There are accessible tables inside and outside the venue. Nick’s Seafood Restaurant located on Cockle Bay Wharf is fully accessible to wheelchair users. A ramp from along the Wharf provides access to the venue, or access can also be gained via Wheat Road. The main entrance features a ramp with no steps, ensuring easy access for disabled individuals and wheelchair users. Inside, two elevators connect all floors, allowing seamless navigation throughout the building. While most exhibition areas are step-free, the Westpac Long Gallery on the G floor includes some steps. The UG level houses a dining area that can also be accessed via a ramp or elevator. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available on every floor, enhancing convenience for visitors. Although the museum does not have a dedicated parking lot, the nearest parking is located at 70 Riley St, Darlinghurst. 

Australian Museum

Cafe del Mar has a ramp at the entrance providing step-free access into the venue.  All places inside are accessible without exceptions. There is accessible seating outside on the terrace, but some tables cannot be used as there are high benches. There is plenty of room between the tables for a wheelchair to move and staff will also allocate you a  tables if not.There are no accessible toilets inside the venue but there are facelities nearby which can be reached by elevator.

The cinema is fully accessible, with accessible seating available with no steps or other barriers from the entrance. These seats and spaces are reserved for customers who have a genuine need and are only released by cinema staff in person at the cinema or over the phone.
For hard of hearing or visually impaired the auditoriums are setup with the Fidelio headset & neck loop options.  These receivers are available at the box office when tickets are purchased.  The neck loop option works in conjunction with the hearing aid + the headset has adjustable volume to boost the dialogue levels.

CM Espresso is a cafe located on the ground floor of the Harbourside Shopping Centre. There is step-free access to the counter and a number of tables.  Wheelchair users will have plenty of space in the cafe. The nearest toilets can be found in the centre’s nearby food court.

Darling Harbour, Pier 26 is an accessible ferry terminal. There is step-free access into and throughout the terminal, which is unmanned. There is a portable boarding ramp to enable wheelchair access onto the ferries.
There are no accessible toilets at the Pier and no designated parking spots.

Convention is an accessible light rail stop. There is step-free access onto both platforms, which have gentle gradient ramps leading up to them. There is a designated bay at the end of the platforms in which to wait if you need a portable boarding ramp. Signal the driver on approach and he will alight the train and assist with the ramp.
Accessible parking spots can be found at the Convention Center.
There are no accessible toilets near the stop.

Bodhi is accessible for wheelchair users. A ramp provides step-free access from in front of St Mary’s Cathedral on College Street down to the venue. Some of Bodhi’s indoor and outdoor seating is inaccessible for wheelchair users, but the venue does have an accessible toilet.
The closest accessible toilets can be found in the Ensacon carpark on 2 Cathedral Street.

The restaurant and bar is located on the first floor of Harbourside Shopping Centre. There is a lift on the ground floor providing step-free access to the upper entrance. The venue is step-free, and most seating areas can be easily accessed. There is seating inside and outside on the terrace but the outside sitting area can only be used on Fridays. The space is restricted but the staff would be happy to allocate the tables for you. There is a designated accessible unisex toilet available on site.

Olivo is an accessible restaurant in Harbourside Shopping Centre There is step-free access into the restaurant, but not all areas are accessible due to steps. The toilets are also inaccessible because of several steps leading up to them but there are accessible toilets within the shopping center. There is accessible seating inside and outside. For accessible parking you can also use the carpark of the shopping center.

A symbol of Australia’s industrial history, Pyrmont Bridge is one of the world's oldest surviving electrically operated swingspan bridges.
Pyrmont Bridge is accessible to wheelchair users. There is a lift onto the bridge from Wheat Road. The bridge itself is step-free and easily accessible by wheelchair. There are accessible toilets located at the Wheat Road end of the bridge on Cockle Bay Wharf.
On each end there are several accessible cafes and restaurants. Parking spots can be found on Wheat Road.

Pyrmont Bridge

Criniti’s is an Italian restaurant and bar located on the first floor of Harbourside Shopping Centre. There is a lift on the ground floor providing step-free access to the entrance. The venue is step-free, and most seating areas can be easily accessed. There is seating inside and outside on the terrace. The space is in some parts restricted but the tables can be allocated to ensure there is enough room for a wheelchair. There is a designated accessible unisex toilet on site and designated parking spots can be found in the Harbourside shopping center carpark.

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access throughout the venue, with ramps providing access to different levels of the aquarium. Accessible toilets are located at the entrance and exit of the attraction.
wheelchairs are available to hire for free from guest services on arrival on a first come, first served basis.
Due to the steepness of some ramps that lead down to the deeper oceanariums (Shark Valley and Dugong Island), wheelchair users may find they require extra assistance.

There is step-free access throughout, although not all tables are accessible. The outdoor seating is also accessible to wheelchair users. There are only unisex toilets on site but there is an accessible toilet nearby at Monkey Baa.  Wheelchair friendly parking spots are only available in the underground car park.

McDonald's Darling Harbour

Fonda Mexican is an accessible restaurant with step-free front, ramp up to the venue to heavy entry door. 	
A wheelchair fits with assistance round the tables & non fixed seating along with high stools at a bar.		
There are no outside tables or accessible toilet but one can be found at Kippax on Anzac Parade.  Parking can be found at the underground carpark St Margaret's on Bourke Street. 



Fonda Mexican

Waterfront Grill steakhouse is an accessible restaurant in Harbourside Shopping Centre and located on the water at Darling Harbour. 
There is step-free access into the restaurant, but not all areas are accessible due to steps. There are no toilets on site but there are accessible toilets in the shopping center next to it. There are ramps to access the shopping center. 
Wheelchair users can sit inside or out but make sure to call the venue before your visit so they can arrange a special table. They will also make enough space between the tables to ensure there is sufficient room to move.
