The Bund - Walsh Bay

The Bund is a modern take on the traditional Chinese dining experience offering an upmarket Chinese restaurant serving elevated traditional cuisine in a warm, old-fashioned ambiance located on Hickson Road in Walsh Bay.   

The restaurant has step-free access from the footpath. The entrance has a glass door and is not very wide. The footpath outside has a hard surface and is generally flat.

The main dining area has a flat timber floor, standard-height tables and movable chairs. The main pathway through the centre is fairly open, but some tables along the sides are quite close together. Because the tables and chairs can be moved, the layout can be adjusted to create more space for wheelchair users if needed.

There is an accessible toilet inside the restaurant. The pathway to the toilet is quite narrow. The toilet has a flat tiled floor and a relatively large open area inside. There are horizontal and vertical grab rails beside the toilet. The basin is wall-mounted. However, a large storage cabinet, cleaning products and a rubbish bin take up some of the available floor space. The toilet door must be opened manually.

Accessible parking can be found closeby at Bond One Car park, Barangaroo Point. We also have street car park on Hickson Road just across the Restaurant. 

For public transport, bus routes 324 and 325 stop nearby on Hickson Road. Barangaroo Metro Station is also within walking distance.

Overall, The Bund has step-free access, mostly flat flooring, movable seating and an accessible toilet. The main dining area has reasonable wheelchair space, but the narrow route to the toilet and some furniture and stored items may reduce the available space.
