Sushi Train in Rose Bay is a local favorite, blending traditional Japanese flavors with a fun, modern twist! The conveyor belt sushi setup brings a bit of Japanese dining culture right to you, with fresh and colourful sushi plates rotating past for you to grab and enjoy.

Located on the main street, Sushi Train is close to local shops and super easy to get to with paths and ramps for a smooth arrival. The entrance is level with the sidewalk, making it easy for everyone to enter. If you’re craving a personalized sushi experience, just ask the friendly staff to set up a table on the left side to make your meal even more comfortable.

Takeaway orders are available as soon as you enter—just place your order at the front desk. While the main dining area has a step up to access the conveyor belt seating, the staff is happy to bring your favorite sushi to the front seating area if you prefer, so everyone can enjoy the meal their way!

Unfortunately the toilets are located at the end of the sushi belt hallway, meaning that unless you can manage the step, toilets are not accessible.

The Rose Bay ferry wharf is built sturdy with wide passageways and sufficient space for wheelchairs in the boarding area. Except in cases of extreme weather, the wharf is normally well protected against the impacts of waves and water movements. The wharf is connected by pathways to nearby Lyne Park.

Archies is an accessible cafe located on Military Road, Dover Heights serving modern Mediterranean & Middle Eastern dishes.

The cafe features a small step on entry with ramp into the cafe via paved level pathway approach.  the cafe has a bright & spacious interior with freestanding tables, chairs, access to the counter & further covered street seating.

Only regular street parking is available.  Closest accessible toilets are just under 2km away at North Bondi Beach.

Shuk Bondi is a charming bakery with a bright and colorful atmosphere that feels like an Israeli marketplace. This popular spot has several locations in Sydney and is known for its tasty pastries and fresh products.

The Bondi store is on a corner and has plenty of space inside. The main entrance has steps, so it's not wheelchair accessible. However, if you come from Murriverie Road, you can use a ramp on the left side to get inside. There’s also outdoor seating surrounding the venue where you can enjoy your food. Inside, you can get table service or check out the pastries at the counter, which is low enough for everyone to see.

The restrooms are at the back of the store. To reach them, use a small side entrance next to the ramp. This will take you to a backyard where you’ll find wooden doors. The first door on the right leads to the accessible toilet. There’s a cement ramp, but watch out for a small step when entering. The door opens manually from the inside, and there’s enough space for a wheelchair, with handrails on the right side of the toilet.

Fish Shop is an accessible casual restaurant serving fresh and sustainable seafood, salads and vegetable dishes, alongside natural wine and cocktails.

With step free access & outdoor seating the venue is fully accessible.  Alternatively patrons can borrow a picnic blanket & enjoy their takeaway at the newly minted park or head down to Bondi Beach just a few blocks away.  

Accessible toilets can be found at Bondi Pavillion, Ampol North Bondi & North Bondi Beach.  Accessible parking can be found at Park Drive South & Bondi Beach.

FISH SHOP

La Piadina is an accessible Italian coffee bar located on Glenayr Avenue in Bondi. The venue has step-free access but maneuvering inside the very small cafe is likely to prove difficult. There is no accessible seating inside and benches outside may prove hard to access. There are no toilets on site.

Organic Republic is an inaccessible artisan bakery located on Glenayr Avenue in Bondi. In the absence of a portable ramp, two steps prevent access to the counter and inside seating area but there are a number of outside tables.  No accessible toilet onsite but one can be found at Bondi Pavillion.

There is a small netted beach with a concrete ramp at one end.  There are wide flat pathways along the water with harbour views.  

There is alao kiosk with eat in or takeaway meals, plenty of tables outside & table service. In summer the kiosk is open in the early evening.

There is a large disabled bathroom facility which includes a toilet and shower change area. This is close to the beach and requires a MLAK key.  There is disabled street parking near the entrance to the park, however this parking is rear to curb & there is a drop behind the parking.

Lox Stock & Barrel is an accessible New York-style deli. Space is at a premium inside the venue after you enter via the step-free doorway, with some tables inaccessible. There is also some accessible seating outside. There are no accessible toilets in the venue. Closest accessible parking spots can be found in the Hub shopping center carpark.

Brown Sugar is an inaccessible cafe and bistro on Curlewis Street in Bondi. A step at the doorway prevents wheelchair access into the venue and there is no portable ramp on site to assist with entry. There are also no outside tables.

Sonoma Bakery in Rose Bay is a beloved local bakery renowned for its sourdough bread, baked fresh daily, along with a wide selection of sweet and savory pastries.

This is a spacious, accessible venue where everyone is welcome. The entry is flat, so there should be no accessibility issues getting inside. As I write this, a family with a pram is at the entrance.

The bakery is quite large, so you’ll feel comfortable moving around with your device right up to the counter as you decide which pastry, bread, or hot drink to get.

Inside, seating is arranged in a circular layout around the walls, leaving plenty of space in the middle. Alternatively, you can order at the counter and head outside, where the friendly staff will bring your order to your table.

There are no designated accessible toilets, but the ladies toilet is adapted for people with reduced mobility. The door manually opens inward, and the lock is also manual. The ladies’ restroom is spacious, allowing enough room for devices to manoeuvre and access the left-hand rails by the toilet. The men’s restroom, however, has no rails and has limited space.
