Mobility Parking, Ashmore Street, (Erskineville)

Imported from City of Sydney Open Data – Mobility Parking (data/parking/sydney-parking-city-of-sydney.csv)

Kürtősh at Marrickville Metro offer great coffee and amazing baked goods. The Front entrance and entrance to outdoor seating area are massively wide and fully accessible. The counters are low so wheelchair users can be seen. The space itself is massive with plenty of room to maneuver around and there is plenty of space between tables to allow wheelchair users to pull up to a table comfortably and still have plenty of room for people to pass by without bumping or kicking your chair. Staff are friendly. There are fully accessible bathrooms in the shopping centre the 2nd floor accessible bathroom (accessible by lift) even has a hoist, and shower in it.

St Peters Station offers step-free access via a gentle ramp on one side and a main thoroughfare without stairs from the other. Both sides of the station feature signposted lifts providing access to the lower platforms.

A unisex wheelchair-accessible bathroom is located next to one of the lifts. It includes handrails, a manual swinging door, and is relatively spacious inside.

The platforms are hard-surfaced, wide, and generally easy to navigate. For boarding assistance, a portable wheelchair ramp is available by calling ahead or speaking with station staff at the central office on Platform 3.

Both entrances to the Metro are wheelchair accessible, with wide automatic sliding doors. While there is no formal signage, the entrances are clearly visible and easy to identify. Ramp access is available at both entry points.

Accessible unisex ambulant toilets are clearly signposted and located throughout the Metro, split across its two main sections. These toilets have button-operated locks for both entry and locking.

The walkway connecting the two sides of the Metro does not include stairs, making it navigable for mobility aids. However, the ground surface becomes more textured and slightly bumpy in this area. The food and dining zone features wide, outdoor tables with space for wheelchair users.

There are lifts throughout the centre, providing access between the rooftop parking levels and the main ground floor, as the travelators are marked unsuitable for wheelchair use. A moderate number of dedicated accessible parking bays are available near the central lift, alongside bays designated for prams. The central lift is prioritised for ambulant and wheelchair users.

Temporary motorised scooters and complimentary wheelchair hire are available. These can be booked either by calling the Metro directly or in person at the Centre Office Management or Security Office on weekends.

Lilong is a Chinese restaurant located on the Hurstville Westfields rooftop, the first restaurant along the accessibility ramp coming up from the car park and lifts.

While it has a tight design, there is enough room for wheelchair access, provided it isn’t a bulky machine. It has a mix of outdoor space and indoor space. The section that is outdoors is a long corridor that may he cramped for a wheelchair however inside there is moderately more space along bigger table arrangements.

The nearest bathrooms are the public ones attached to the rooftop section of the Westfield, located further down the dining areas near the Thai and burger restaurants.

Sydney Airport's accessibility features are distributed across its T1 International, T2 Domestic, and T3 Domestic terminals, with precise locations detailed on official maps and info sheets for pre-planning. These include kerbside drop-off zones, parking bays, assistance desks, Sunflower lanyard points, and sensory areas, all aligned with the previously noted services like wheelchair support and medical accommodations. Get assistance information in their website: https://www.sydneyairport.com.au/airport-guide/arriving/international/need-assistance

T1 International: Kerbside accessible drop-off at arrivals/departures forecourts; 56 disability parking bays in multi-level car parks (Levels 2-6, signed with wheelchair symbol); Sunflower lanyards and Airport Ambassadors at Help Desks (Departures Level 1, Arrivals Hall); Changing Places bathrooms near arrivals gates and post-customs Meeting Point; sensory maps highlight quiet zones post-security.

T2/T3 Domestic: Accessible drop-off zones at kerbside (T2 forecourt, T3 near Qantas doors); 60 disability parking bays across Domestic precincts (P1/P2 car parks, lower levels); dedicated assistance lanes and lifts post-security (T2 upgrades ongoing through 2026); Sunflower lanyards at Information Desks; sensory-friendly areas and visual guides on terminal maps.

Shared Navigation: Downloadable terminal maps show walking distances, parking/drop-off icons, and high/low sensory zones; accessible parking requires mobility permit display; all features marked with International Symbol of Access (ISA). https://www.sydneyairport.com.au/airport-guide/arriving/international/maps

Review the Sydney Airport Accessible Facilities and Services page and interactive maps for zoomed-in visuals of exact spots, including post-security lifts and family/assistance security lanes. Features like Changing Places facilities (with hoists/benches) are in arrivals halls and near car hire kiosks for easy access pre/post-flight. You can book your accessible parking in advance : https://prebook.sydneyairport.com.au/en/parkinginformation/accessible-parking/

Arrive early (at least 3h for international and 2h for domestic), check airline policies for check-in/security/passport needs, and review maps on the Sydney Airport site for visuals of all areas. Contact your airline or travel agent first to confirm airport services match your requirements.

Rockdale Station is accessible for wheelchair users, with lift access and nearby disabled parking in the commuter car park on Geeves Lane as well as street parking on Railway Street. Buses such as the 422, 476, 477, 478, 479 and 492 stop close to the station, mainly along Railway Street, Geeves Avenue and Princes Highway, making it easy to reach by public transport. The surrounding streets are flat and well-connected, allowing smooth access from parking or bus stops directly to the station entrance.

Event Cinemas Hurstville is a very accommodating venue for accessibility needs. Located at the top level of the Westfield there is car parking, ramps, and lifts nearby the front entrance of the site. While the front entrance has stairs, there is a lift installed to the far right of these steps. To use the lift you just have to contact staff and a manager will be promptly present to activate it. There is also an additional lift further into the cinema on the concourse that is adjacent to the car park in the event that the main lift is unusable.

There is a unisex accessible bathroom in the foyer on the right hand side at the entrance that is maintained by staff onsite. The foyer itself is very spacious, even in the cramped lineup towards the candy bar there should still be ample space for wheelchairs and other mobility devices.

In the cinemas themselves at the back of each cinema there are spots that are reserved for wheelchairs and any other companions. The entrance to all normal cinemas is on even ground, these exclusive spaces at the top of each cinema next to the entrance. Each regular cinema has a ramp up the isle so if you’d prefer alternative seating to the usual accessible spaces they can also be accessed fairly easily as long as now equipment is blocking the isle.
In the V-Max cinemas however due to there being stairs to access most of the cinema, these accessibility spaces are at the front of the cinema rather than at the back thus limiting view of the screen.
Overall Event Cinemas Hurstville is a very accessible venue, with very accomodating staff if any standards are not met.

A really fantastic stroll with hard flat pathways all the way alongside the water from Kyeema to Sandringham. This 6km stroll has benches built in intermittently alongside the pathway.

There are some accessible toilets along the way. Also one at the end near Vanston baths in Sandringham (this is also marked on the WheelEasy map) and nearby you’ll find the Kiss the Barista cafe which does great food and coffee and is open 7am-5pm everyday.
