Parking:
A designated accessible parking space is located directly outside the building. The parking sign indicates that the space is reserved for people displaying an accessible parking permit. The space is positioned alongside the footpath, providing close access to the building.
Getting from the parking space to the footpath:
There is a kerb ramp at the front of the parking area, providing a lowered transition between the road and footpath. The ramp appears relatively wide, although the kerbside area around it is somewhat uneven and includes a drainage channel/edge between the road and footpath.
Path to the building:
The footpath is paved and relatively smooth, with a reasonably wide walking/wheeling surface. However, a large street tree and the parking signpost are positioned close to the kerb, which reduces the usable space in this section. The signpost also has a substantial base at ground level. These features may be relevant for people using wider wheelchairs, mobility scooters or vehicles requiring additional clearance.
Entrance:
The building entrance is slightly elevated from the footpath and is reached by a short set of steps. A handrail is provided. No permanent ramp is visible in the photographs, so the entrance may not be independently accessible to wheelchair users who cannot use steps. The designated accessible parking space and kerb ramp provide close street-level access.
