Canteen in an accessible Japanese restaurant tucked away in Fyshwick’s Dairy Road precinct specialising in Tori style ramen (paitan n Shoyu) with Fench influences using hand made noods.  Each noodle is handmade daily on site from Australian rye in a custom noodle room and grain mill.

There are three accessible eating zones including the large shared internal courtyard in the foyer of the building with long shared tables, unfixed seats and fixed booths.  There is an outdoor garden courtyard and a more intimate indoor restaurant with seating for 30 with unfixed seating, fixed Izakaya bar overlooking the kitchen and indivdual tables.  Here you can order with a QR code and then it’s table service.

Jerrabomberra Wetlands is an accessible nature reserve located near the Canberra CBD.  The filling of Lake Burley Griffin in 1964 led to an artificially high water table on the MolongloRiver floodplain resulting in the Jerrabomberra Wetlands.  The reserve is an important sanctuary for local birds as well as bird species migrating from the northern hemisphere & from inland Australia & includes over 170 different bird species.

The Jerrabomberra Wetlands walk consists of a 3.2km loop trail considered a moderately challenging route, taking an average of 40 min to complete.  All the mapped walks are pram & wheelchair accessible.  The Wetlands office has a ramp for access & additional parking.

This trail begins at the designated parking area of the reserve, head west along Kellys Loop & continuing onto Woodland Loop until you get to the Tadorna bird hide. From here you'll double back & do a short loop following the shores of Jerrabomberra Creek before completing the full circuit of Kellys Loop.  There are different style paths from paved to gravel with covered seating along the way & bird watching huts

Free off-street parking is available at the end of Dairy Road in Fyshwick and also Eyre Street in Kingston.  Accessible tilets can be found 2km away at Marlborough Street bus station & Boundless Playground on Parkes Way.

Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature Reserve

Canberra Outlet Centre is an accessible outlet shopping centre located in the heart of Fyshwick on the corner of Newcastle Street and Canberra Avenue.  Offering a range of international & national brands with up to 70% off across all factory and Homemaker Centre retailers.

The centre features step free entry via paved level pathway approach to automatic glass doors.  The Centre has complimentary wheelchair hire. The service can be accessed from the security office located near the food court bathroom amenities. Lift access from the carpark is located near the Food Court and Premium Mall, with a travelator located at the Supergrocer entry. All the walkways are made to accommodate wheelchair access & mobility scooters. 

Canberra Outlet offers free underground carparking accessible from Iron Knob street & Newcastle street. The carpark is accessible daily from 7am until 6:30pm.  Lift access from the carpark is located near the accessible Food Court & Premium Mall, with a travelator located at the Supergrocer entry.
