Entrance: Located on the Ground Floor. The entry from the footpath (via the small alleyway off Burwood Road) is level access or has only a minimal, manageable threshold.

Pathways (Exterior): The approach from Burwood Road involves a smooth, flat, wide footpath leading into a short, level alleyway that provides direct access to the entrance.

Interior Layout: The entire dining space is flat and on one level. The layout is open, and aisles between tables are wide and free from clutter, allowing for easy and safe navigation and 360-degree turns.

Seating: Numerous dining tables offer sufficient under-table clearance for comfortable wheelchair seating.

On-Site Toilet: The restaurant contains one single, general-purpose toilet.

Nearest Accessible Toilet: The closest fully compliant, dedicated accessible public toilet is available at Burwood Park (approximately 5-7 minutes rolling distance) or within Westfield Burwood.

Burwood Station: The venue is extremely close to the station, estimated at 150–200 meters (a 3-minute roll/walk).

Station Accessibility: Burwood Station is fully accessible, featuring operational lifts connecting platforms to street level.

Route: The path from the station is direct, on smooth, flat public footpaths.

Primary Accessible Parking: George Street Council Car Park (36 George St).

Distance: Approximately 300-400 meters from the restaurant (a 5-6 minute roll/walk).

Accessible Bays: Clearly marked bays are available on multiple levels.

Lifts and Connectivity: The car park features lifts that connect all parking levels to the ground floor exit. The route from the lift exit to the restaurant is via a continuous, wide, and flat footpath.

Restaurant Lifts: No internal lifts are required, as the entire facility is on the ground floor. Lifts are external only for parking and station access.

This place has a pretty groovy and chilled atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. 

There's a level front entrance, with a standard doorway. Wide space between tables and bar, easy to get through to back area and to the toilets, as long as bar isn't 5 deep. 

There's a mixture of high tables and stools and low tables and sofas. The back area opens up into a fairly wide space. 

The toilet is semi-accessible - it has no rails and is not marked as accessible (it's the one marked for women). There's a small lip to get into toilet, so you need to pop a wheely if you're in a manual chair. A powered chair should have no problem (see the photo). If you need rails to transfer you will have to bring a friend or carer in to assist.

A bright airy cafe with upbeat staff and a great menu.   Luca and Connie were thrilled we were there to check them out and extended a cheerful invitation.  A favourite with local nursing home residents, local school community and mums with prams.
Dropped curb access from the road but no dedicated parking.  A lot of locals use the nearby church parking and comply with community requests to vacate that during school recess times. Some pavement seating plus an accessible ramp into the main cafe. The entry way is always open and requires two quick left turns to enter then a right turn to the low counter to order.
The accessible toilet is to the rear of the property, reached by heading back down the ramp, which is undercover.  The day I was there the door was not marked as accessible toilet, and felt a little heavier than average.  The door opens inwards to the right, basin and mirror at an accessible height immediately opposite the door.  The toilet is a right hand transfer and is in the far left corner.  Lights need to be manually flipped on when entering.

Location: Metered street parking spaces are available on Elsie Street and surrounding areas.

T & B Cafe

Kürtősh at Marrickville Metro offer great  coffee and amazing baked goods. The Front entrance and entrance to outdoor seating area are massively wide and fully accessible. The counters are low so wheelchair users can be seen. The space itself is massive with plenty of room to maneuver around and there is plenty of space between tables to allow wheelchair users to pull up  to a table comfortably and still have plenty of room for people to pass by without bumping or kicking your chair. Staff are friendly. There are fully accessible bathrooms in the shopping centre the 2nd floor accessible bathroom (accessible by lift) even has a hoist, and shower in it.

Sydney Park offers a main circular walkway that is wide, hard-surfaced, and generally well-maintained. While most of the path is smooth, some sections may be slightly uneven or bumpy. There is one steep slope leading up to a hill, which may be challenging for some users. Several narrower side paths branch off the main route.

The park includes a number of benches spaced throughout, which may benefit ambulant users. It’s also a shared space with cyclists, though the paths are typically wide enough to accommodate both without significant issues.

A café/kiosk is available with open outdoor seating that could accommodate wheelchairs. There are several playgrounds in the park, though none include wheelchair-accessible play equipment or adaptive swings.

Accessible parking is available near a well-signposted bathroom block, which includes a unisex accessible toilet with side rails. However, the stall is narrow and has a manual swinging door. Additional accessible parking and bathroom locations are marked on the park’s maps.

Sydney Park

Russel park is a small grassy area with a walking path along Fivedock Bay. There isn’t any accessible parking near the park but lots of street parking especially out of peak times.

There are bathrooms in the park however they are located across the grass area and also not dedicated accessible bathrooms. There is also a playground across the road part of the park, here there are some bench’s and gazebos however little to no accessible play equipment.

Wire mill reserve is a beautiful waterfront pathway / park along Abbotsford Bay. There are few accessible entrances, due to many of the entrances / exits being up stairs or through the apartment blocks with hilly terrain. The main accessible entrance I located is along the path between Allison Park. This is a long walkway up and down hills however there is a constant paved path through this area and is still a pleasant walk.

Due to this distance there is little to no accessible parking or normal parking at all as the reserve is surrounded by buildings and the bay, parking to come to this park would mean parking somewhere closer to Campbell or Allison parks. Once in the park there are some benches however it’s mainly just a walking track along the bay.

Accessible street parking: 40 Bay Road, Russell Lea, New South Wales, 2046

There are no bathrooms, the closest one being at the Campbell Park clubhouse which is quite far away and difficult to access from this area.

We Three Bar in Marrickville has an entry ramp at the front door.  The front bar is wheel chair accessible and the venue has a modern well maintained accessible bathroom.   The front bar has dining level seating available but it is a small bar so its a good idea to contact the venue and book for the front bar to ensure that you can get a table. Let them know that you need a booking for accessibility, the venue is happy to accommodate.  Unfortunately there is no lift in the venue and so the upstairs lounge is not an accessible space.

Accessible parking can be found in Calvert Street.

We Three

Maicha Nepalese Restaurant is a Nepalese restaurant located along Burwood Road that offers casual dining for the local community. Based on the entrance view, the restaurant appears to be mostly accessible as it is located at street level with a wide footpath leading to the entrance. This allows wheelchair users and people using mobility aids to approach the venue easily. However, there appears to be a small raised edge at the doorway, which may create a minor barrier for some wheelchair users when entering independently.

The entrance door is manual, which means some visitors with mobility limitations may require assistance to open it. Inside the restaurant, seating areas may have moderately restricted space between tables, which is common in small dining venues. The restaurant does not clearly advertise an accessible toilet, but accessible public toilets are available nearby at Westfield Burwood and Burwood Park, both within a short walking distance.

The location is also convenient for public transport users, as Burwood railway station is around a 10-minute walk away and several bus stops are located along Burwood Road. Overall, the restaurant offers partial accessibility with relatively easy approach and entry, though minor features such as the doorway lip and manual door may require assistance for some visitors with mobility needs.

Livvi's Place Five Dock is an excellent all abilities & inclusive playground.  Located at Timbrell Park which is very large & flat with huge grassy areas & lots of easy roll paths for wheelchairs, bikes & trikes

The playground is fully fenced with only one entrance/exit & includes a wide range of play equipment including swings, jungle gym, snakes & ladders path, inclusive playsoace, sculptures, rope climb & motorised roundabout.

The park also has seating, picnic tables, shelters & shaded play areas, barbeques, bubbler & best of all wheelchair accessible.

A toilet block can be found just outside the playground, with both adult & child change tables & plenty of parking along Henry Marine Drive.

Livvi's Cafe is located right bedside the playground offering accessible coffee & food kiosk with outside tables.
