In winter, Coogee Oval is home to the Randwick Rugby Union Club and caters for up to 5,000 spectators. The oval is also used as a first grade cricket facility during the warmer months. A fenced children's playground is located on the perimeter of the oval on the corner of Brook and Dolphin Streets. The oval is located directly opposite Coogee Beach and adjacent to the Coogee shopping village. Coogee Oval is accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access from Brook Street into the venue, which is step-free throughout. There are toilets available but they are not designated accessible. Parking is available along Alfreda Street and in the Council car park adjacent to the oval (access from Alfreda Street and Dolphin Street).
