The National Dinosaur Museum is Australia's largest permanent display of prehistoric specimens located in Gold Creek Village, an area within the suburb of Nicholls, Canberra.

The Museum offers wheelchair accessible ramp located to the right side of the steps accessed via paved level pathway approach.  The entrance door (850mm) is connected to the front entrance lobby.  The ramp also leads to a gate (950mm) connected to the undercover deck perfect for a picnic.  Accessibility signage is located outside the museum providing direction.

The front desk is located as you enter inside the museum & the front desk area closest to the lift has an open section without a physical desk barrier.  Inside is spacious with easy access to the exhibitions & to move around.   The museum has one wheelchair available on site for visitors.  Please notify them in advance or ask the team at the front counter.

The museum gift shop & galleries are located on two levels & the birthday party room is located on the basement level.  All three levels are connected by lift access.  The unisex accessible public toilet is located on the basement level & accessed via the lift.  There is a clear & level access to the toilet.

The Museum houses over 150 dinosaur models, 23 complete skeletons, & over 300 displays of individual fossils in its multi-level indoor gallery.  The gardens cover  an area of over 1500 square metres accessed via level paved pathway.

There is ample free parking at the Museum with two accessible parking spaces directly opposite the entrance. 

The Museum offers a concession for disability pension card holders, carer card holders & seniors.

National Dinosaur Museum

Cockington Green is an accessible privately owned & operated tourist attraction featuring a fascinating display of meticulously crafted miniature buildings currently featuring 30 different countries with approximately 1,500 miniature people, animals & birds on display set within beautifully landscaped gardens.

Located at Gold Creek Village, 10 minute drive from the Canberra City Centre Cockington Green is a wheelchair & walker accessible display.  This access is available any time by request with the wheelchair entrance located beside the main ticket entrance.  The granite paths & walks ways through the gardens are all accomodating for a variety of equipment.  Wheelchairs & mobility scooters are available for hire for a fee.

Cockington Green Gardens

Yerrabi Pond features a 4.2km loop trail near Canberra & is generally considered an easy route taking on average just under an hour to complete.

The Yerrabi Pond loop is a paved, flat walk that can be extended or shortened.  With gorgeous views of the lake there are also lovely trees & flowers, grassed areas, 3 playgrounds, benches, picnic areas, BBQ & toilets.

Accessible toilets can be found at Yerrabi Pond District Park on Wunderlich Street, Gungahlin.  The park also features an innovative play space & adventure playground, which includes a wheelchair accessible liberty swing, double/tandem flying fox, burmese bridge & outdoor fitness equipment.  

The Yerrabi Pond Loop (according to AllTrails.com)  is the longest wheelchair-friendly trail in Canberra, estimated to be 4.2km long.

Cypher Brewing Co is an accessible venue situated right on the light rail line at 3/35 Hinder Street, Gungahlin in Canberra's north.

There is step free access via paved pathway approach to glass door entry. Inside the venue is very spacious with easy access to the bar area & a range of freestanding high & regular tables with stools, chairs & fixed booths all accessible with a ramp to both levels.  There is also an outdoor area with picnic benches accessed via paved pathway approach.

The store is located inside Gungahlin Village accessed via electronic doors with paved pathway approach.  Inside the centre is spacious with KURIMU situated opposite Coles with easy access to the counter & limited freestanding tables & chairs.
