SparQling Pizza & Grill on Burwood Road in Burwood provides moderate accessibility for people with mobility impairments. The restaurant entrance step-free from the street, allowing wheelchair users, people using walkers, or mobility scooters to enter without major barriers. The doorway is manual, which may require some assistance for people with limited upper-body strength, but staff are usually available to help when needed.

Inside the restaurant, the layout includes a dining area with tables and seating arranged along the main floor. There is adequate space for basic wheelchair movement, although some sections may feel slightly narrow when the restaurant becomes busy. Staff can often assist by rearranging chairs to create additional space if required.

The service counter is at standing height, which may make ordering slightly difficult for wheelchair users. However, staff typically approach customers at the table or provide assistance when ordering, helping to reduce this barrier.

Outdoor seating is sometimes available along the footpath area. This space is generally flat and accessible, but like many busy footpath dining areas, space for manoeuvring a wheelchair may become limited during peak dining times.

SparQling Pizza & Grill does not provide a dedicated accessible toilet on site. However, accessible public toilets are available nearby at Westfield Burwood and Burwood railway station, both within a short distance of the restaurant. Parking is also available at Westfield Burwood, which includes designated accessible parking spaces

The St George Burwood branch operates within a commercial banking environment and provides a moderate level of accessibility for people with mobility impairments, though this can vary depending on the specific building configuration.

The main entrance is typically step-free or supported by a ramp, allowing wheelchair users and those with mobility aids to enter without stairs. Entry doors are usually automatic or assisted, consistent with modern retail banking standards.

Inside the branch, the layout is generally open with clear circulation paths between service counters and waiting areas. Flooring is smooth and suitable for wheelchairs. However, space may feel somewhat limited during peak periods, especially if queues form.

Service counters may include at least one lowered or accessible counter, though this is not always guaranteed in older branch layouts. Seating is usually available for waiting customers, though designated accessible seating spaces may not be clearly marked.

Accessible toilet facilities are generally not available within smaller bank branches and would typically need to be accessed in nearby public facilities or shopping centres.

Parking depends on the branch location. In Burwood, parking is usually not dedicated and relies on nearby shopping centre car parks or street parking. Accessible parking is available in surrounding public parking areas. The branch is well connected to public transport, located close to Burwood train station and bus services.

Step-free access: Yes (typically)
Location: Indoor commercial branch
Height: Single level (public access areas)
Doors: Automatic or assisted
Overall Rating: Moderate – generally accessible entry and layout, but limited facilities and reliance on nearby parking

Lilong is a Chinese restaurant located on the Hurstville Westfields rooftop, the first restaurant along the accessibility ramp coming up from the car park and lifts.

While it has a tight design, there is enough room for wheelchair access, provided it isn’t a bulky machine. It has a mix of outdoor space and indoor space. The section that is outdoors is a long corridor that may he cramped for a wheelchair however inside there is moderately more space along bigger table arrangements.

The nearest bathrooms are the public ones attached to the rooftop section of the Westfield, located further down the dining areas near the Thai and burger restaurants.

the Commonwealth Bank Burwood branch is useful for wheelchair users, as it is designed with accessibility in mind. The branch provides step-free entry and wheelchair-friendly layouts to allow safe movement inside. Service desks are designed to accommodate seated customers, and ramps are available where needed for easy access. ATMs include Braille and audio features, but also have accessible height placement so wheelchair users can operate them comfortably. Staff are trained to support customers with mobility needs, and customers can also use preference cards to request assistance discreetly. These features make the Burwood branch accessible and practical for wheelchair users, though the ease of access may still depend on the building layout and surrounding pathways outside the branch. The surrounding streets are flat and well-connected, allowing smooth access from parking or bus stops directly to the station entrance.

Event Cinemas Hurstville is a very accommodating venue for accessibility needs. Located at the top level of the Westfield there is car parking, ramps, and lifts nearby the front entrance of the site. While the front entrance has stairs, there is a lift installed to the far right of these steps. To use the lift you just have to contact staff and a manager will be promptly present to activate it. There is also an additional lift further into the cinema on the concourse that is adjacent to the car park in the event that the main lift is unusable.

There is a unisex accessible bathroom in the foyer on the right hand side at the entrance that is maintained by staff onsite. The foyer itself is very spacious, even in the cramped lineup towards the candy bar there should still be ample space for wheelchairs and other mobility devices.

In the cinemas themselves at the back of each cinema there are spots that are reserved for wheelchairs and any other companions. The entrance to all normal cinemas is on even ground, these exclusive spaces at the top of each cinema next to the entrance. Each regular cinema has a ramp up the isle so if you’d prefer alternative seating to the usual accessible spaces they can also be accessed fairly easily as long as now equipment is blocking the isle.
In the V-Max cinemas however due to there being stairs to access most of the cinema, these accessibility spaces are at the front of the cinema rather than at the back thus limiting view of the screen.
Overall Event Cinemas Hurstville is a very accessible venue, with very accomodating staff if any standards are not met.
