Canteen in an accessible Japanese restaurant tucked away in Fyshwick’s Dairy Road precinct specialising in Tori style ramen (paitan n Shoyu) with Fench influences using hand made noods.  Each noodle is handmade daily on site from Australian rye in a custom noodle room and grain mill.

There are three accessible eating zones including the large shared internal courtyard in the foyer of the building with long shared tables, unfixed seats and fixed booths.  There is an outdoor garden courtyard and a more intimate indoor restaurant with seating for 30 with unfixed seating, fixed Izakaya bar overlooking the kitchen and indivdual tables.  Here you can order with a QR code and then it’s table service. 

There is step free access to the areas, wide corridors in the shared area, accessible bathroom onsite and accessible parking spaces out the front of the building.

Theo's is an accessible cafe & buffet restaurant situated in Fyshwick Village on Barrier Street Narrabundah.

The venue offers step free entry via paved level pathway approach to glass double entry doors.  Inside is bright & spacious with floor to ceiling windows, freestanding chairs, tables, easy access to the counter, fridges & covered outdoor high tables & stools.

Parking can be found out the front & accessible bathroom 1km away at  Maryborough Street Pedestrian Parkland.

The Melted Toasted Sandwich Emporium is an accessible sandwich shop located on Pitie Street in Fyshwick.

There is step free entry to double doors via paved pathway approach with easy access to the counter.  Inside there are limited fixed seats & small tables.  There is more fixed tables with shade umbrellas & freestanding chairs.

Accessible toilets can be found at Maryborough Street bus station on Wollongong Street.  There is plenty of regular parking right outside, accessible parking can be found at 26 Ipswich Street.

Melted Toasted Sandwich Emporium

Celestino Cafe Bar Torrefazione is an accessible restaurant specialising in Italian cuisine.

There are steps at the front of the venue but there is a ramp to the side leading to large glass doors.  Inside is spacious with easy access to the counter, freestanding tables & chairs, long communal high tables with stools & outside seating.

Regular parking can be found out the front, accessble toilets 650m away at Marlborough Street along with an accessible parking spot.

Celestino Cafe Bar Torrefazione

Brew & Bun is an accessible cafe located on Maryborough Street in Fyshwick.

The cafe offers step free entry via paved level pathway approach to glass entry door.  Inside features freestanding tables, chairs & easy access to the counter. There is further umbrella shaded & non shaded outdoor seating bench tables.

A car park can be found adjacent to the cafe, accessible bathrooms at Maryborough Street bus station on Wollongong Street.

Brew n Bun

Jerrabomberra Wetlands is an accessible nature reserve located near the Canberra CBD.  The filling of Lake Burley Griffin in 1964 led to an artificially high water table on the MolongloRiver floodplain resulting in the Jerrabomberra Wetlands.  The reserve is an important sanctuary for local birds as well as bird species migrating from the northern hemisphere & from inland Australia & includes over 170 different bird species.

The Jerrabomberra Wetlands walk consists of a 3.2km loop trail considered a moderately challenging route, taking an average of 40 min to complete.  All the mapped walks are pram & wheelchair accessible.  The Wetlands office has a ramp for access & additional parking.

This trail begins at the designated parking area of the reserve, head west along Kellys Loop & continuing onto Woodland Loop until you get to the Tadorna bird hide. From here you'll double back & do a short loop following the shores of Jerrabomberra Creek before completing the full circuit of Kellys Loop.  There are different style paths from paved to gravel with covered seating along the way & bird watching huts

Free off-street parking is available at the end of Dairy Road in Fyshwick and also Eyre Street in Kingston.  Accessible tilets can be found 2km away at Marlborough Street bus station & Boundless Playground on Parkes Way.

Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature Reserve

Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets are Canberra's oldest food market.  Accessible via paved level pathways to step free entry doors the markets are home to over 25 stores, including a range of fruit & vegetable shops, butchers, delicatessens, bakeries, cafes, seafood shops, a speciality Asian grocery, a boutique bottle shop & pet shop. Gates open Thursday to Sunday from 7am-5:30pm.

There are a number of cafes with outside seating & wide ailses inside the market to move around. 

There is a large car park onsite with accessible parking spots.  The main carpark is located off Mildura Street. This carpark is the only one with disabled parking spots. Additional parking can be found on Level 1.

Accessible toilets can be found 2km away at Manuka Terrace & Maryborough Street bus station.

Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets

Red Brick Coffee's flagship store; is located in the heart of Fyshwick, part roastery, part coffee shop.

The venue offers step free enty via paved pathway approach into an interactive space where you can experience & gain insight into specialty coffee production.

The venue is spacious with easy access to the counter, large communal tables with stools, high bench tables, further sofas, chairs, stools & outside tables & chairs under shade umbrellas.

Redbrick Coffee

Axxe is an accessible Urban Axe throwing venue offering a unique experience of throwing solid steel axes at wooden targets & playing fun axe throwing games.  

Axxe offers step free entry via paved pathway approach to glass double doors & easy access to the counter.  There is also step free entry to the throwing lanes.  There are high tables & stool seating along with sofas & armchairs.

Drinks & snacks are available to purchase, the venue is not licenced so no alcohol is permitted on the premises.

The venue also offers Breakr which is a ‘break out’ room which is a dedicated space for breaking plates, mugs, glasses, vases & other fragile items.  These can either be thrown at the wall or smashed with tools provided.

Axxe - Urban Axe Throwing

Ona Coffee House Cafe is an accessible venue located in Fyshwick.  With a step free entry cafe and retail shop out the front, with Ona’s roasting machines and temperature-controlled production facilities visible out the back.

The cafe features freestanding tables & unfixed chairs along with higher tables & stools.  The venue is spacious with easy access to the counter with outdoor seating also available.

The coffee menu is extensive, with at least 25 different coffees to choose from. It showcases four core blends with a variety of milk based, espressos, filter and iced, and there are special reserve single origin options that rotate on a monthly basis, including a selection of low caf-feine ones. On the “freezer menu” you’ll find exceptional and award-winning coffees, vacuum-sealed into individual doses and frozen to keep indefinitely.

Kingsborough ‘The Cafe’ is an accessible cafe serving healthy, clean, natural & unprocessed whole foods. Thecafe is part of the is one of the Eighty/Twenty chain with five locations across Canberra this Eighty/Twenty is located at the Kingsborough Shophouses on Parbery Street, Kingston.

Accessible toilets can be found less that 50m away at Narrabundundah Shopping Centre on the same street as the restaurant.  Accessible parking can be found on closeby on Constitution Avenue & Akuna Street. 

D'Browes is an accessible restaurant located within the Narrabundah shopping complex.

They offer organic coffee, fresh juices & smoothies, organic food, fruit & vegetables, a wide range of vegetarian, dairy-free & gluten-free options, as well as earth-friendly groceries. The cafe is open from 8.30-3pm with the shop open till 5.30pm.  

There is a spacious outdoor area with tables, chairs & benches.  There are steps to inside however there is an accessible side entrance.  Inside there free standing tables & chairs along with the whole food grocery store. 

There is an ambulant toilet onsite, closet accessible toilet can be found at Maryborough Street public toilets, 4 Wollongong Street.  There is plenty of parking onsite including disabled bays.
