Saint Peter is an accessible pescatarian restaurant located on Oxford Street in Paddington.  The venue offers step free access but the restaurant has limited space with only 22 seats available.  

There is a fixed 12-metre Carrara marble-topped bar, with kitchen on one side of the bench & diners on the other with moveable brown leather stools.  The open kitchen allows the chefs more cooking space, while also giving diners an opportunity to watch the action.

The wine list emphasises Australian makers, & cocktails use locally made gins and whiskies. There's a bar area to sit at, if you're just looking to stop by for a drink & a snack.

Accessible parking can be found at The Gordon on Newcombe Street.  An accessible toilet can be found around 2km away with adult change at the Australian Museum on William Street.

Small coffee shop on the corner of comber and Ice Street. These is easy access with an easy roll on ramp to access the cafe. The setup of the cafe is very spacious allowing people to both sit inside or outside freely.  .

Table service is provided, but it's important to keep the accessibility limitations in mind when planning your visit. For instance, you won’t be able to access the toilets inside the venue. However, if you are visiting, oxford street is right around the corner while Bootsdarling Café rests in a tranquil corner in South Dowling Street.

Simon Says Juice in Darlinghurst is a renowned café celebrated for its fresh juices and healthy offerings.

They’ve recently given the place a fun makeover, making the ground level way more accessible and welcoming. The door is wider, so getting in with your mobility device is a breeze! Just a heads-up: the seating has booth tables, so your device might have to hang out at the end of the booth in the middle of the venue, which could make it tricky for others to get by. But we think it’ll work out just fine! They’ve added a couple of small tables in front of the counter facing the street, making it easy to have a quick stop while waiting for the bus or passing by.

One major inconvenience is the lack of restrooms, which means you’ll need to head to the nearest local pub, The Beacham (10 meters), which has accessible toilets. However, keep in mind that it may not open very early in the morning if you’re an early bird.

Their famous juices are a hit all around Sydney, and the new menu includes a variety of smoothies and bowls, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a sustainable twist.

A lift is conveniently located in front of  the main entrance, allowing access to the upper level. Upstairs, you’ll find accessible restrooms close to the open garden area. When you come out of the lift, go straight on and see the garden area in front of you, then on your left, you will see the accessible toilets.

You can follow the numerous signs all along the venue to guide you towards the most accessible areas.

The entire venue is wheelchair accessible, with generous spacing between tables, making it easy to choose the most comfortable seating for your needs.

The only area that is not wheelchair accessible is the smoking area, which has a step. However, if you’d like a smoking break, you can always take the lift back downstairs and step outside for a moment

Camperdown Cellars

Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Surry Hills, Tento offers an exclusive Japanese dining experience, featuring meticulously handmade, exotic dishes that are truly one of a kind. This charming café is perfect for casual lunchs or lively morning coffee gatherings.

Tento is tucked away in a hidden spot at 3/8 Hill Street, Surry Hills. To access the venue, you’ll need to ascend a few steps, but the good news is that a lift chair is available for assistance. Please call the venue in advance to ensure they can accommodate your arrival, as the lift chair is the only way to access the restaurant. Once you’ve used the lift chair, the pathway to the venue is flat.

The café offers a spacious outdoor seating area in front of the main kiosk and counter, as well as an indoor dining space. The indoor area is easily accessible, with a wide and open threshold, allowing you to choose between the terrace and the indoors. The friendly staff are always ready to assist and ensure a comfortable experience at Tento.

TenTo

In 1835, Governor Bourke, in response to the overcrowding and chaotic state of King Street Courts, directed the design of a courthouse outside Sydney Town, on the hill opposite the new goal. This was for convenient prisoner access and to separate criminal from civil matters.

Designed by colonial architect Mortimer Lewis, the Greek-revivalist building was completed in 1845. It was the first purpose-built criminal court in the colony and has been used ever since as a courthouse. The District Court took up residence in the early 1900s, and a new wing to the courthouse was added. In the 1920s, the newly founded High Court moved in, and additional courts were built. Today, Darlinghurst Courts constitute seven courtrooms and hears Supreme Court and District Court matters.

Inside feels open and welcoming, great for catching up with friends, and they’ve got a mix of low and high tables to suit your style.

If you’re up for more, Darlo Bar has a chairlift to help you get upstairs to the rooftop, or you can stay downstairs and chill out in one of the cosy, social areas.

Please note that while the café may not appear accessible at first glance, as it is located up a few steps on a different level from the street, the staff are available to assist you upon arrival. They will deploy the portable ramps provided at the venue to help you navigate the steps leading to the seating area.

The area is not very large and does not have much space to manoeuvre. However, depending on your needs, you may still be able to enjoy a nice coffee or breakfast. Please note that there is no accessible toilet on the premises, but accessible parking can be found approximately 100 metres from the café. Take the corner with Moncur St. then turn right the first street on James st.

Zey Queen st.

While Zey Queen St Café isn’t fully step-free, the team has made efforts to support access. There’s a small step at the entrance leading to the seating area, but staff are more than happy to assist on arrival. They have portable ramps available on-site, which they’ll deploy to help you get inside safely.

Big Mama's is a semi accessible restaurant serving home-made traditional Italian cusine located on Moncur Street, Woollahra.

The venue offers paved level pathway approach to doorway with a small step which will need to be navigated.  Inside is spacious with white-clothed freestanding tables & chairs, Art Deco-style prints on the walls & polished wood floors.  There is additional alfresco street seating.  

Accessible parking spots can be found closeby on Dorhauer Lane.  Accessible toilets at Federation Valley & Centenial Park Dining.  

Big Mama's

Chargrill Charlie’s Woollahra has reasonably good access for visitors with mobility needs. The entrance is flat, with a small ramp that makes it step-free and suitable for wheelchair or pram users. The doorway is wide enough for most mobility aids.
 

Inside, the space is compact, and the counter is quite high, which might be tricky to reach for someone seated in a wheelchair

Chargrill Charlie's Woollahra

The restaurant has a wide entrance which is easy to use with no stairs. Although it seems accessible, the threshold presents a light bumpy sill, so it is not a complete flat entrance. There are some tables outside and inside the restaurant. The tables outside are convenient for people  with mobility devices.  The restaurant’s space is not big enough inside.  The location is along the road nearby a pedestrian lane and opposite a T-junction which makes parking space tricky. But you can park nearby where there is accessible parking in Dorhauer Lane, only 100 meter away.  The bathroom access presents various stairs so may have some troubles entering. 

Queen Street Italian

The place is easily accessible and easy to find along the street. You can find one accessible parking spot along the road opposite and in front of the restaurant in the Queen street Whoollara. The restaurant has a small entrance, but it is easy to use as there are no stairs, making it suitable for everyone.
 

There are no outdoor tables since the sidewalk is narrow; however, you can access tables of average height inside the restaurant. The restaurant has enough space for people, although the distance between tables is small. Orders can also be made from outside the restaurant for pickup.

Pasta Pantry Woollahra

Restaurant is found on the main street with a small entrance but entrance  has no stairs and easy to use. Mostly suitable for pick up orders as there is limited space inside and outside the restaurant and tables to sit.  orders are made inside which can be difficult due to the stands but there is also tables inside the restaurant.  There is no accesible toilet which may an issue however may not be a problem for pick ups. There is no or little space for parking near the restaurant. 

Queen St Kitchen is a small venue offering takeaway from a street-facing counter. Just a heads-up: the counter is a little high, but still manageable for most people, and staff are generally helpful.

The entrance is flat, but quite narrow, so depending on your mobility aid, getting inside might be a bit tricky. Inside, the layout is tight, with tables quite close together, which can make it hard to move around if you’re using a wheelchair or walker.

Unfortunately, the toilets are not accessible. They’re located down a flight of stairs, and the ones upstairs are up a step and quite small, with no designated accessible toilet available.

Queen St. Kitchen

Greenhouse is a small chain restaurant on the Northern Beaches serving Asian salads, juices & soups.

The Edgecliff branch is located in the Edgecliff Centre offering step free entry via level pathway approach.  Inside is bright & spacious with easy access to the counter tables, stools & banquette seating along one wall.

Greenhouse Asian Salads - Edgecliff

Whether you're a ramen enthusiast or trying it for the first time, Bones Ramen offers a delightful dining experience in the heart of Kings Cross.

The restaurant is located on the hill of Bayswater Road and is mostly accessible from the footpath. The entry features a flat surface that transitions into a slight step on one side of the door threshold, which is manageable to navigate with a bit of assistance if needed. Otherwise you can always have some food in their outdoors area. The outdoors tables are quite small and the available spots are on the hill. However, if you can manage a slight steep hill, you can always enjoy their food.

While the dimensions of the entry are not large, they are sufficient for entry. Once inside, the space is somewhat limited, but there is often the possibility of finding a table for you and your guests upon entry.
 

Please note that they do not have accessible toilets, but you can attempt to enter them since the path from the main dining area is relatively easy.

There is 1 parallel parking space in 31 Roslyn Street, Eastside between Ward Avenue and Roslyn Gardens 3.2m wide by 7.3m long.

There is a private garage at 33 Bayswater Road with an accessible entrance.

Bones Ramen

Sonora in Potts Point offers a welcoming and lively Mexican dining experience, where friendly service complements an innovative menu. Sonora features curated tasting menus, including a chef’s “Feed Me” option on Wednesdays and a decadent brunch with tacos and margaritas on the weekends.

Sonora is fully accessible, accommodating both wide and smaller devices. The main entry is at the corner of the street, accessible through their ample door threshold. Despite being a small, charming venue, the tables are spaced apart, providing enough room both inside and outside, in the terrace. The friendly staff will be happy to guide you to an appropriate space in the dining area.

Toilets are located on the right-hand side of the venue, and you won't get lost on the way to the restrooms. There are two restrooms, both equipped with handrails and enough space to maneuver a device.

Sonora Potts Point

The Oxford Hotel has a second entrance past the outdoor seating that is accessible via a ramp, as the main entrance includes a small set of stairs. The accessible entrance leads directly into the games room on the left and the main bar area to the right. This bar area has plenty of seating and space between tables, however they are higher tables with taller seats. Lower tables and seating is available in the garden further into the bar area. An accessible toilet is located within the games room. While signage indicating accessible features is limited, staff are friendly and happy to assist! There is also plenty of outdoor seating available along the footpath at the front of the venue.

The Oxford Hotel

Chula, a cozy Mexican spot in Potts Point, offers a warm and vibrant vibe paired with authentic Mexican dishes. It’s easy to get to, thanks to a ramp in the connected building complex that leads straight into the restaurant. Once inside, you’ll find smooth flooring and movable tables and chairs, which make it a bit more flexible for anyone using a wheelchair or other mobility aids.

The pathways between tables are fairly spacious, but they might need a little rearranging to make things more comfortable for larger mobility devices. While the main areas are mostly accessible, the restrooms can be tricky—they’re on another level with two steps to navigate, and the hallway leading there is pretty narrow.

If you’re thinking of visiting and have specific needs, it’s a good idea to give them a call ahead of time. You’ll enjoy great food and street views, and the staff will do their best to help make your visit enjoyable!

169 Darlinghurst is a floral café located on a busy corner, offering a welcoming atmosphere. The venue is not step-free; it has two small steps to access the terrace, and there are three additional steps at the entryway, located a bit further on the terrace. The space is limited. These factors may pose difficulties for guests with mobility impairments, making accessibility a bit harder for some.
