Bean Culture Cafe is an accessible venue tucked away down Vicars Street in Mitchell.  The Bean Culture team has been roasting coffee beans out the back for years but have now taken over the street frontage as well.

The cafe offers step free entrance to double doors via paved pathway approach.  Inside there is ample room to move around & access to the counter.  There is fixed banquette seating one side with table chairs the other & a row of coffee trees slowly growing under a series of LED lights in a hydroponic system.  The cafe serves coffee of course & Italian-inspired paninis & fresh, healthy lunches. The space also has plenty of charging ports to encourage people to stick around & get some work done in the cafe.

Accessible toilets can be found just under 1km away at Heffernan Street & regular parking can be found onsite.

There is also a coffee school at Bean Culture which runs six days a week teaching a range of courses designed to suit aspiring baristas, people in the industry looking to upskill, or caffeine addicts looking to improve their domestic setup. They’ve also set up a small coffee roaster to offer workshops for people to roast small batches of coffee. This sits in their designated research & development room where the team is also experimenting with biodegradable coffee pods & triple-filtered wholesale cold brew.

Bean Culture is also involved in an education program at the nearby juvenile detention facility, with head roaster Michael teaching weekly barista courses. He says it’s a great opportunity to make a positive and meaningful impact.

Inside there is easy access to the counter, freestanding tables, chairs & fixed banquette seating.  There is also outside seating & tables available.

Accessible parking spot can be found closeby further up the road from the cafe.  An accessible toilet can be found under 750m away at Franklin Recreational Park.

Coffee Guru is an accessible coffee shop & restaurant located in Franklin, Canberra.

There is step free access to the venue into a spacious area with easy access to the counter.  There is freestanding tables & chairs, banqueete seating in fixed booths, high bench communal tables with stools.  

Accessible toilets can be found under 500m away at Franklin Recreational Park.  Ample regular parking can be found outside, accessible parking is further away at Gungahlin Village.

Thai Herb is an accessible restaurant serving a range of authentic Thai food located on Wimmera Street, Harrison.

The venue features step free entry to large glass door via paved level pathway approach.  There are steps at the front of the building but there is level entry to the side.  

Inside is spacious with floor to ceiling windows, freestanding tables, chairs, one wall of fixed banquette seating & easy access to the counter.  There is a bar area with stool seating & a covered patio seating area. 

There is only regular street parking available.  Accessible toilets can be found 650m away at Franklin Recreational Park.

Adore Tea is fully accessible venue located in Mitchell. Canberra.  The venue consists of the tea boutique, with over 150 teas covering 11 different tea categories, which is fully accessible with a wide area to maneuver around.   

The teahouse serves high tea morning & afternoon on weekends & has a rotating menu for each season. There is both indoor & outdoor tables & seating, all fully accessible.

There is both a disabled toilet, wheelchair accessible & accessible parking onsite.
