The Shed is a cafe chain restaurant with stores throughout NSW & ACT serving home-style rustic meals & 100% Arabica bean coffee. The cafes feature calm earthy tones, industrial metal, concrete, brickwork & soft greenery.

The Bankstown store is located on level 2 Bankstown Central, North Terrace (in front of JB HI-FI & Myer) accessed via paved level pathway approach to automatic glass entry doors. Level 2 can be accessed via lift & escalator with step free entry into the cafe, access to the counter, freestanding tables, chairs & banquette seating.

Accessible parking & bathrooms can be found in the Shopping Centre.

Mirambeena Regional Park

Livvi's Place Bankstown is an all abilities & inclusive fenced playground located about 16km south of Parramatta, Stacy Street.  

A colourful playground offering every type of play in one space including sand, water, trampoline, slides, swings, spinner, nature trail, flying fox, climbing, balancing & imaginative play.   There are a few shade sails & mature trees also offering shade.  

The park offers a dual BBQ, picnic tables & accessible toilet block outside the entrance.  Unfortunately they do need to be manually unlocked via the Council.  Next to the playground there are more picnic shelters & a large grassed area.

Accessible parking can be found on Stanley Street, Greenfield Parade & West Terrace.

Variety Livvi's Place

Bankstown Arts Centre is an accessible venue situated in the heart of Bankstown.  The venue is a vibrant and engaging destination for contemporary arts practice in collaboration with arts organisations, groups and artists; and their activities.

The entry to the art centre is via the front of the building at Dale Parade with all public spaces at the Arts Centre available to mobility restricted visitors.  

A lift is located in the foyer, to take visitors to any floor in the building. A pathway is located across the courtyard for access between buildings. 

There is an accessible bathroom in the foyer and next to art gallery, with a handrail and assistance button. Each of the bathrooms throughout the other parts of the centre have handrails. None have steps leading to them. Each can be accessed either directly or via the lift in the foyer.

Coffee with Tom is a little cafe located along Marco Avenue. As it is located slightly above normal street level there is a public ramp that leads right up towards the cafe and small outdoor seating area. This outdoor area is a bit of a tight fit for things like prams and wheelchairs, there is space to sit and eat. Indoors as the cafe is quite narrow there isn’t a whole lot of mobility, especially towards the main counter. 

The cafe doesn’t have its own bathrooms but uses the bathrooms of the adjoining apartments, while the long lead up to these bathrooms aren’t accessible. The two bathrooms are single sex and inside have a simple stall and sink. Due to the bathroom being behind multiple locked doors you need to ask staff to grant access, and with a long lead up and wait for availability, using the other public or train station bathrooms would be significantly more accessible and efficient.

The cafe doesn’t have its own parking but is located a moderate distance away from the train station parking as well as the Woolworths parking.

• Street parking is available directly in front of the Library, on the opposite side of Chapel Rd side.

• Basement parking (Level -1) within the building includes 4–5 accessible parking spaces, located directly in front of the lift. Parking is free for up to 4 hours

• The main entrance is fully accessible. To get to the library, you will need to go through 2 automatic doors, then turn right. 

• The Library is located to the right-hand side after entry. Lifts are located inside the Library to assist with movement between floors.

• The Knowledge Centre lift connects the basement car park (with accessible bays right in front of the lift doors) to all other levels via step-free access.

• Lifts throughout the building (including within the Library itself) provide access to all levels.

• The lift inside the Library will take you to Level 1, where an accessible toilet is located, and to Level 2, which houses study spaces suitable for a variety of access needs.

By Public Transport: The temple is located about a 9-minute walk from Bankstown Station. The route mostly is paved footpaths.

By Car: Street parking is available directly outside the temple, but no designated accessible parking spots are provided. Alternatively, visitors can use Brandon Avenue Public Carpark (42 Northam Avenue), which is around 2–3 minutes' walk to the temple.

Access & Terrain: Entry is via street-level only, with stairs used to access the main worship area. There are no ramps or lifts, so step-free access is not available. This makes it inaccessible for wheelchair users or visitors with mobility limitations. 

Building Interior: The interior of the worship area has generous open space, allowing for easier movement once inside.

Paul Keating Park

Pod is a cafe along the main strip of Padstow, its only entrance along Padstow Pde and has a short bump up into the main cafe.

There is lots of accessible car spaces over at the carpark towards the station, making the cafe only a short walk away. As most businesses along Padstow Pde don‘t have public toilets for customers, the only bathroom option will also the he carpark bathrooms.

As for Pod itself it has lots of room and space for seating and mobility.

Burger world is a little burger franchise along Padstow Pde. its space inside is small but accommodating. The best parking nearby is in the carpark in the area with all the accessible parking on the bottom level. Additionally there are no bathrooms along many of the businesses on Padstow Pde, making the only option the carpark public toilets.

Grain’d is a medium sized cafe in Revesby. There is an accessible car spot nearby in the nearby shopping area near XS cafe however the main carpark has lots of accessible spaces available and is only a short distance away.

Inside the cafe they have a single bathroom that is shared, but has lots of space inside and a rail. During my time visiting they were cleaning so there would normally be less clutter.

There is lots of table space though when it’s busy it may be a tighter fit inside, however outdoors offers lots of space and flexibility. While the street is busy sometimes, it is usually not super loud or intrusive.
