Yagoona Station is equipped with a range of accessible features to support passengers with mobility needs:

A formal kiss and ride area is not provided, but there is a No Parking zone on the northern side of the Hume Highway, which can be used for informaL drop-off. 

🚶‍♀️ Station Exit Directions: Turn left for the ramp to the car park. Turn right for the bus stop. The path is flat and free from obstacles.

Yagoona Train Station

Revesby station is a very accommodating location and an important travel hub for the T8 train line. 

The main side of the station along Marco avenue has a large carpark with multiple disability parking spaces available, though it could benefit from being closer to the station entrance and lifts up to the concourse. Additionally there is the park and ride nearby, in the event that these spaces in the main car park are full. 

Each side of the station has lifts going up to the concourse, Marco Avenue side being located just past the opal gates, and the Blamey street side being underneath the stairs with the opal gates up top on the concourse. Along the concourse towards Blamey street side there are bathrooms and station offices. The disabled bathroom is locked by station staff, if they are not in their booth they are likely located somewhere on the concourse or platforms.

Contacting staff is easy with the large amount that are around throughout the station, any assistance needed to board the train can be organised efficiently.

Revesby Bus Interchange, Marco Ave

Bankstown Station is a fully staffed and accessible station, designed to support passengers of all mobility levels. It is currently being upgraded as part of the Sydney Metro project to further enhance accessibility.

1 accessible lift provides step-free access from the concourse to all train platforms.

Ramps from the concourse lead to both sides of the street:

North Terrace: Direct access to Bankstown Central Shopping Centre.

South Terrace: Leads to Bankstown Bus Interchange and Bankstown City Plaza.

All access paths are wide and level, suitable for wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Wide and accessible ticket gates are installed at station entrances, allowing easy passage for wheelchairs, prams, and mobility devices.

Bankstown Station

Bankstown Arts Centre is an accessible venue situated in the heart of Bankstown.  The venue is a vibrant and engaging destination for contemporary arts practice in collaboration with arts organisations, groups and artists; and their activities.

The entry to the art centre is via the front of the building at Dale Parade with all public spaces at the Arts Centre available to mobility restricted visitors.  

A lift is located in the foyer, to take visitors to any floor in the building. A pathway is located across the courtyard for access between buildings. 

There is an accessible bathroom in the foyer and next to art gallery, with a handrail and assistance button. Each of the bathrooms throughout the other parts of the centre have handrails. None have steps leading to them. Each can be accessed either directly or via the lift in the foyer.

♿ Accessibility at Bryan Brown Theatre – Bankstown

🅿️ Parking:
• Street parking is available on the opposite side of Chapel Rd (side road of the building).
• Basement parking (Level -1) includes 4–5 accessible parking spaces located directly in front of the lift. Parking is free for up to 4 hours.

🏢 Getting to the Theatre:
• The main entrance to the building is fully accessible, with step-free access.
• To reach the theatre and box office, enter through two automatic doors, then turn left.
• The Box Office is on the left-hand side after entry. Staff are available to provide information or assistance.

🎭 Inside the Theatre:
• The theatre is located on the ground floor, with accessible seating available.
• For accessible seating arrangements, speak with staff at the box office for assistance.

• This level includes function rooms, all accessible via lift.

South Terrace Hotel

The Shed is a cafe chain restaurant with stores throughout NSW & ACT serving home-style rustic meals & 100% Arabica bean coffee. The cafes feature calm earthy tones, industrial metal, concrete, brickwork & soft greenery.

The Bankstown store is located on level 2 Bankstown Central, North Terrace (in front of JB HI-FI & Myer) accessed via paved level pathway approach to automatic glass entry doors. Level 2 can be accessed via lift & escalator with step free entry into the cafe, access to the counter, freestanding tables, chairs & banquette seating.

Accessible parking & bathrooms can be found in the Shopping Centre.

Gong Cha – Bankstown Plaza Accessibility Features

Generous space between indoor tables allows comfortable movement for wheelchair users and mobility aids.

Multiple outdoor public tables are also available nearby.

Entrance: A ramp provides step-free access into the café from the street level.

Counter: The service counter is at an accessible height, suitable for both standing and seated customers.

Toilets: ⚠️ There is no accessible toilet, ambulant toilet, or standard toilet available on the premises.

Parking: There is 1 designated accessible street parking spot located directly in front of the café.

Gong Cha Bankstown Plaza

Pod is a cafe along the main strip of Padstow, its only entrance along Padstow Pde and has a short bump up into the main cafe.

There is lots of accessible car spaces over at the carpark towards the station, making the cafe only a short walk away. As most businesses along Padstow Pde don‘t have public toilets for customers, the only bathroom option will also the he carpark bathrooms.

As for Pod itself it has lots of room and space for seating and mobility.

Burger world is a little burger franchise along Padstow Pde. its space inside is small but accommodating. The best parking nearby is in the carpark in the area with all the accessible parking on the bottom level. Additionally there are no bathrooms along many of the businesses on Padstow Pde, making the only option the carpark public toilets.  

Burger World

Elatte is a little cafe located in the suburb of Padstow Heights across the road from its iconic water tower. 

Access is not as straight forward is is could be, as it's located in an old suburban house there is no dedicated parking spaces and lots of steps leading into the front entrance. In light of this however there is ample street parking nearby and also a side entrance that leads into a nice outdoor seating courtyard. Additionally out the front of the building there is smaller tables for outdoor service.  

In the courtyard there is some space for a wheelchair however, it is especially tight due to the big tables and benches along the fence. There is also a bathroom on site however it's access is limited having to go up some stairs in order to enter the building. Once inside there is ample space in the bathroom but no rails or other tools of assistance. It is also a shared all gender bathroom. 

Overall the staff seem accommodating if there is accessibly needs however are very limited by the space of the building. 

Elatte Cafe

Bump and Grind is a cafe located in the heart of Revesby in close proximity to the car park and train station. 
Bump and grind is very accommodating in most ways, having lots of outdoor seating and a portable ramp for indoor access as well. In the case of wet weather there is less outdoor seating however there are still spaces that are undercover, barriers and table arrangements can easily be adjusted. 
Parking in the local car park across the road is very easy to access and close by to the cafe, with only two pedestrian  crossings in between. 

The only downside to Bump and Grind is the lack of an accessible toilet, the toilet on site located down narrow hallways leading to a courtyard out back with many steps in between. An alternative toilet/bathroom option is the public ones located in the park across the road or the train station bathrooms nearby. 

Overall Bump and Grind is a great and mostly accommodating venue, only limited by its lack of bathroom access due to the old building. 

Bump & Grind Cafe

XS is a cafe located along the back side of Revesby in the plaza along Salems Parade and behind the Woolworths. There are accessible parking available however there are few spots available. In the main car park further down Salems Parade there are significantly more accessible spaces.

Heading into the cafe there are steep ramps and drops from the footpath which could be dangerous if you’re not careful. heading into the cafe however there is some space between tables however it could be tight with a wheelchair. There is outdoor seating available however it is all the way through the cafe at the back. 

While XS Revesby has bathrooms for customers, they are down a small hallway and are also very small and not very accessible at all. The next closest bathrooms nearby would be the public ones in the station carpark or at the station. The nearest pathway to get to these other bathrooms are blocked by poles and lots of other public hazards, meaning that you’ll have to travel very far for a usable accessible bathroom.

BLaKC Cafe

Grain’d is a medium sized cafe in Revesby. There is an accessible car spot nearby in the nearby shopping area near XS cafe however the main carpark has lots of accessible spaces available and is only a short distance away.

Inside the cafe they have a single bathroom that is shared, but has lots of space inside and a rail. During my time visiting they were cleaning so there would normally be less clutter.

There is lots of table space though when it’s busy it may be a tighter fit inside, however outdoors offers lots of space and flexibility. While the street is busy sometimes, it is usually not super loud or intrusive. 

Grain'd Cafe

Located with the petrol station lot Subway has lots of areas that would be good for parking however only one accessible space allocated. Inside there is lots of room at the tables and counter. There are no bathrooms on site but the petrol station bathroom may be available. 

Subway Padstow

This carpark in Padstow is mainly for the station, as well as regular traffic inside Padstow. There isn’t lots of accessible spaces but on the lowest level there are a handful available, further up into the carpark are just regular spaces for what I could find. Traveling from the station into the rest of Padstow is easy, either needing to cross at the pedestrian crossing, the traffic lights, or both.

There are also toilets available in the carpark, one large accessible toilet and then a bunch of unisex ambulant toilets.   

Off-street accessible parking

Revesby station park and ride is essential for traveling anywhere in Revesby, good for quicker visits as well as days of long commutes via train.

On the lower levels is the usual 3 hour parking with about 3-4 accessible spaces near the entrance and exit. On the upper level in the park and ride is almost a whole floor worth of accessible spaces near the lift down to the ground level. The carpark has 2 lifts, one near the corner where the crossing is heading towards the station, as well as one in the middle of the carpark located along Haydock Lane. The corner lift only goes up to A levels (eg 2A, 3A etc), whereas the middle Haydock Lane lift goes to both A and B levels (eg 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B etc).

The carpark has no bathrooms however towards the station there is both the public toilet in the main station carpark as well as the usual station bathrooms locked by staff.

The park and ride section of the carpark is free, provided that you use your opal card some time after parking, otherwise there is a fee. 

Bankstown Sports Bowl is a large recreational and sporting facility featuring multiple sports fields, a playground, walking paths, and picnic areas. 

It offers accessible parking near entrances, step-free pathways,

accessible toilets, and flat access to all main areas. The venue hosts local sports events, community activities, and provides open spaces for walking, jogging, and family outings.”

Bankstown Sports Bowls

Saigon Place offers a number of features that support accessibility for visitors:

Accessible Parking: There are 2 designated accessible street parking spots conveniently located along Bankstown City Plaza street.

Public Toilet Facilities: An accessible toilet is available at the corner near the public outdoor seating area.

Pavement: The plaza features a wide, flat pavement with no major obstacles, allowing for easy movement for people using mobility aids.

Outdoor Seating: The public outdoor dining area offers generous space between tables, providing ease of access and comfort.

Shops and Cafés: Many shops and cafés are accessible, and several also provide outdoor seating. However, some establishments may have limitations such as narrow entrances, tight spaces between tables, steps, or high service counters. In such cases, staff at some venues are willing to assist customers with takeaway orders or provide outdoor service upon request—though this level of service may vary between businesses.

Overall, Bankstown City Plaza provides a reasonably accessible environment, with key amenities in place and helpful staff at many locations.

Saigon Place

Coffee with Tom is a little cafe located along Marco Avenue. As it is located slightly above normal street level there is a public ramp that leads right up towards the cafe and small outdoor seating area. This outdoor area is a bit of a tight fit for things like prams and wheelchairs, there is space to sit and eat. Indoors as the cafe is quite narrow there isn’t a whole lot of mobility, especially towards the main counter. 

The cafe doesn’t have its own bathrooms but uses the bathrooms of the adjoining apartments, while the long lead up to these bathrooms aren’t accessible. The two bathrooms are single sex and inside have a simple stall and sink. Due to the bathroom being behind multiple locked doors you need to ask staff to grant access, and with a long lead up and wait for availability, using the other public or train station bathrooms would be significantly more accessible and efficient.

The cafe doesn’t have its own parking but is located a moderate distance away from the train station parking as well as the Woolworths parking.
