Yagoona Station is equipped with a range of accessible features to support passengers with mobility needs:

🅿️ Accessible Parking: One accessible parking space is available at Yagoona Station Parking 1. From there, a ramp leads directly to the station entrance. A formal kiss and ride area is not provided, but there is a No Parking zone on the northern side of the Hume Highway, which can be used for informaL drop-off. 

🚶‍♀️ Station Exit Directions: Turn left for the ramp to the car park. Turn right for the bus stop. The path is flat and free from obstacles.

🌳 Accessibility at O’Neill Park – Yagoona

O’Neill Park is a large recreational space in Yagoona offering open grassy areas, sports fields, and community facilities. While it provides a generally accessible environment, some features may be limited depending on the time of visit.

A car park with over 10 spaces is available on Farnell Road, but there are no designated accessible parking spots.

From the car park, there is a flat pathway that leads directly into the park, allowing for smooth access on foot or with mobility aids.

The park features flat, open grassy terrain, making it easy for general movement and walking.

There are some flat internal paths, but dedicated paved or sealed walking paths are limited, which may reduce ease of access for wheelchair users or prams.

Benches are available throughout the park, providing rest points.

O’Neill Park is home to three soccer fields and a cricket pitch.

It serves as the home ground for the Yagoona Lions amateur football club, and is often active during scheduled matches and community events.

There is one accessible toilet located at the Yagoona Lions Club House.

⚠️ Please note: This toilet is usually locked and only available during games or events.

Staff are not always present, so access to the toilet cannot be guaranteed outside of scheduled match times.

While O’Neill Park provides an open and relatively easy-to-navigate environment with sporting and leisure facilities, it may not fully meet the needs of all visitors requiring accessible infrastructure. • To reach the theatre and box office, enter through two automatic doors, then turn left.
• The Box Office is on the left-hand side after entry. Staff are available to provide information or assistance.

• The theatre is located on the ground floor, with accessible seating available.
• For accessible seating arrangements, speak with staff at the box office for assistance.

• This level includes function rooms, all accessible via lift.

• The Library is located to the right-hand side after entry. Lifts are located inside the Library to assist with movement between floors.

• The Knowledge Centre lift connects the basement car park (with accessible bays right in front of the lift doors) to all other levels via step-free access.

• Lifts throughout the building (including within the Library itself) provide access to all levels.

• The lift inside the Library will take you to Level 1, where an accessible toilet is located, and to Level 2, which houses study spaces suitable for a variety of access needs.

Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre

Bankstown Arts Centre is an accessible venue situated in the heart of Bankstown.  The venue is a vibrant and engaging destination for contemporary arts practice in collaboration with arts organisations, groups and artists; and their activities.

The entry to the art centre is via the front of the building at Dale Parade with all public spaces at the Arts Centre available to mobility restricted visitors.  

A lift is located in the foyer, to take visitors to any floor in the building. A pathway is located across the courtyard for access between buildings. 

There is an accessible bathroom in the foyer and next to art gallery, with a handrail and assistance button. Each of the bathrooms throughout the other parts of the centre have handrails. None have steps leading to them. Each can be accessed either directly or via the lift in the foyer.

Pavement: The plaza features a wide, flat pavement with no major obstacles, allowing for easy movement for people using mobility aids.

Outdoor Seating: The public outdoor dining area offers generous space between tables, providing ease of access and comfort.

Shops and Cafés: Many shops and cafés are accessible, and several also provide outdoor seating. However, some establishments may have limitations such as narrow entrances, tight spaces between tables, steps, or high service counters. In such cases, staff at some venues are willing to assist customers with takeaway orders or provide outdoor service upon request—though this level of service may vary between businesses.

Overall, Bankstown City Plaza provides a reasonably accessible environment, with key amenities in place and helpful staff at many locations.

The branch is situated on the ground floor of Bankstown City Plaza, providing step-free access from the pedestrian mall.

There is no dedicated street parking directly adjacent to the branch.

The branch is a short, step-free walk from Bankstown Train Station, with ramps connecting the concourse to both North Terrace (towards Bankstown Shopping Central) and South Terrace (towards bus stops and Bankstown City Plaza).

Commonwealth Bank Bankstown Branch

The Shed is a cafe chain restaurant with stores throughout NSW & ACT serving home-style rustic meals & 100% Arabica bean coffee. The cafes feature calm earthy tones, industrial metal, concrete, brickwork & soft greenery.

The Bankstown store is located on level 2 Bankstown Central, North Terrace (in front of JB HI-FI & Myer) accessed via paved level pathway approach to automatic glass entry doors. Level 2 can be accessed via lift & escalator with step free entry into the cafe, access to the counter, freestanding tables, chairs & banquette seating.

Accessible parking & bathrooms can be found in the Shopping Centre.

🌸 Pho Minh Temple – Bankstown: Accessibility Overview

By Public Transport: The temple is located about a 9-minute walk from Bankstown Station. The route mostly is paved footpaths.

By Car: Street parking is available directly outside the temple, but no designated accessible parking spots are provided. Alternatively, visitors can use Brandon Avenue Public Carpark (42 Northam Avenue), which is around 2–3 minutes' walk to the temple.

Access & Terrain: Entry is via street-level only, with stairs used to access the main worship area. There are no ramps or lifts, so step-free access is not available. This makes it inaccessible for wheelchair users or visitors with mobility limitations. 

Building Interior: The interior of the worship area has generous open space, allowing for easier movement once inside.

Toilets: 🚫 No accessible, ambulant, only standard toilets are available on-site.

The temple is not equipped with any formal accessibility services.

Pho Minh Temple

Livvi's Place Bankstown is an all abilities & inclusive fenced playground located about 16km south of Parramatta, Stacy Street.  

A colourful playground offering every type of play in one space including sand, water, trampoline, slides, swings, spinner, nature trail, flying fox, climbing, balancing & imaginative play.   There are a few shade sails & mature trees also offering shade.  

The park offers a dual BBQ, picnic tables & accessible toilet block outside the entrance.  Unfortunately they do need to be manually unlocked via the Council.  Next to the playground there are more picnic shelters & a large grassed area.

Accessible parking can be found on Stanley Street, Greenfield Parade & West Terrace.
