ACMI is fully wheelchair accessible with two entrances — the preferred Flinders Street entrance has a smooth ramp and accessible automatic door, while the Fed Square plaza entrance is step-free but involves cobblestones that can be uneven. Inside, lifts reach every level so all galleries, exhibitions and cinemas are accessible. Wheelchair-accessible and gender-neutral toilets are available on both the Ground Floor and Level 1, along with baby-change facilities. Accessible parking is provided in the Federation Square car park (about a two-minute walk away) and there is also a Wilson Parking opposite the Flinders Street entrance. Free manual wheelchairs can be borrowed with ID, Companion Card holders get free entry for their carer, assistance animals are welcome, and hearing devices are available for the cinemas. The ACMI Café + Bar on Level 1 is also wheelchair accessible.
