Parramatta Town Hall has recently been transformed into an event space that celebrates its unique architectural charm and beauty, while offering contemporary touches for events of all kinds.



Sitting within the heart of Sydney’s central river city, Parramatta Town Hall’s heritage architecture and new light filled glass atrium blend seamlessly with neighbouring, award-winning PHIVE – providing the perfect backdrop for performances, talks, fundraisers, cultural events and more.

Both levels of Parramatta Town Hall are wheelchair accessible by an internal lift.

Parramatta Town Hall features a free WiFi hearing augmentation system, allowing visitors to connect to audio zones within the building via an app on their smart device. 

This app can be downloaded for free on our Public Wi-Fi service. Once connected, look for rooms, visitors will be able to hear the display audio in rooms featuring a QR code.
 


For visitors without a smart device, a limited number of devices are available for loan from the PHIVE customer service desk.
 

Baby changing facilities are available in the accessible bathroom located on ground floor.

Prams are permitted on both floors of Parramatta Town Hall.

During the opening hours of PHIVE, accessible Adult Changing facilities are available at PHIVE for guests of Parramatta Town Hall. Outside these hours, these facilities are available on request. Please get in touch with our team to discuss your needs.

The accessible Adult Changing facility is located on the basement mezzanine level of PHIVE, accessed via lift. From Parramatta Town Hall, guests can access PHIVE via the PHIVE foyer connected to Parramatta Town Hall.

The Shed is a cafe chain restaurant with stores throughout NSW & ACT serving home-style rustic meals & 100% Arabica bean coffee. The cafes feature calm earthy tones, industrial metal, concrete, brickwork & soft greenery.

The Parramatta branch is located in the Skye Suites on Macquarie Street access via paved level pathway to automatic glass entry doors & lift access.  The cafe is modern & spacious featuring large open step free entry with easy access to the counter freestanding tables, chairs & banquette seating & a large covered outdoor area.

Accessible toilets can be found at Centenary Square, City Library, Train Station & Murray Gardens.  Accessible parking at Justice Precinct.  

The Shed Cafe & Catering Parramatta

The Ollie Webb Reserve offers Livvi's Place an inclusive all abilities playground located just a bit south of Westfiled Parramatta, along Pitt Street.  

The large fenced playground offers a range of equipment including 6 slides, 2 water play areas, 5 swings, big climbing tower & smaller play gym, sit in train & jeep, sand pit, tunnels, trampolines, sand pit with water pump & channels

There is a shade sail over the metal slides & picnic tables next to the BBQs.  There is a large accessible toilet block near the BBQs with an accessible changing room.

There are 3 exercise stations around the reserve, wide easy roll pathways & parking along Glebe Street.  In front of the playground are spots fo mini buses & accessible parking.

Riverside offers limited, pre-booked parking for patrons with an Accessible Parking Permit.

Level access from Church Street leads directly into the foyers and through to all spaces and facilities.

Inside the venue
Riverside offers level access and space for wheelchairs in all theatres. Please let Riverside’s Box Office know if you need level access or a wheelchair space at the time of your booking.

Accessible toilet facilities are located at either end of the foyer.

Riverside has installed hearing systems in all three theatres. Patrons can choose from a single ear earpiece a neck loop attached to their own hearing aid or their own headphones, to amplify the sound from the stage. This system is adaptable for people with all types of hearing loss. To access this free service, please pre-book the hearing system when you book your tickets.

Riverside Theatres

World heritage-listed Parramatta Park, managed by Greater Sydney Parklands, is a place for recreation, sport and entertainment as well as a key resource for telling the stories of Aboriginal and European heritage. 

The entrance to the venue is located on the left side of Old Government House, with a ramp leading down to the grassy lawn area. The venue itself is a large open plaza, primarily composed of a spacious lawn.

The precinct is relatively flat with a mix of grass and paved surfaces. Accessible (not wheelchair accessible) amenities are available.

Disabled parking spaces are available at the entrance, as well as on the west and east sides of the venue, providing convenient access. The nearest wheelchair accessible restroom is located on Connell Street; however, its limited space may pose challenges for wheelchair users. 

The Crescent

No. 1 Malatang is a Malatang restaurant with a layout consisting of walls full of refrigerators housing various foods, including a noodle section, proteins, veggies, fungi, tofu products etc boiled in a flavourful spicy soup broth.

This store is located in Westfield Parramatta with step free entry into the centre via paved level pathway approach. Inside features large open doorway, access to the different level food shelves & counter.  

The dining area offers communal tables with fixed stool seating along , tales & freestanding stools. 

Accessible parking & toilets can be found in the Westfield centre.
