Smithfield Park has wide, sealed pathways and open spaces that are generally suitable for wheelchair users and people using mobility aids. The park entrance is accessible via a paved pathway with a barrier gate that still leaves enough space for most wheelchairs and mobility scooters to pass through. The surrounding roads are level and provide street parking; however, no designated accessible parking spaces were observed during the visit.
The amenities buildings are connected by smooth concrete and asphalt surfaces, allowing relatively easy movement throughout the area. The pathways are wide and mostly free from obstacles. Public toilets are available within the park, but no clearly marked accessible toilet facilities were identified.
