    Pilot Beach

Pilot Beach is accessed off Camden Head Road, Camden Head - reached by travelling through North Haven and Laurieton, crossing the bridge towards Dunbogan, then continuing along Camden Head Road, keeping left. The beach sits between two break walls, offering protection from large seas most of the time, resulting in calm, sheltered waters that are well-suited to families and less confident swimmers, and is netted off, though it is not patrolled by lifeguards.

Accessible toilets are available with left-hand transfer access, alongside ambulant toilets, with accessible parking located directly next to the facility. Showers and a water fountain are available as well. The path in front of the toilets connects only to the carpark, reaching the picnic tables behind the toilet block requires travelling over grass. Additional accessible parking is available near the path entrance to the beach itself.

The reserve includes a large undercover shelter with four picnic tables, along with numerous other picnic tables scattered throughout the reserve beneath shaded pine trees, plus three BBQ facilities.

The playground, located behind the toilet block, features a playhouse structure with ramp and ladder access, three swings (including a baby swing), and two slides - one for older children and one for younger children. The playground surface is sand.

A path to the right of the entrance runs along the break wall on smooth concrete, though there is no shade along this stretch. The main path leads to the sand entrance of the beach, where wheelchair users may find access slightly difficult due to the decline and loose sand. No wheelchair hire is available at this location.

An ice cream van is occasionally present in the car park otherwise it is best to bring your own food and drinks.
