Makepeace Oval (Makepeace Park) is a sporting reserve managed by Fairfield City Council. Located on a busy road, opposite the Fairfield Leisure Centre and Fairfield Adventure Park, the park features a large sports oval, covered spectator seating, and an amenities building.
Access & Mobility
Makepeace Oval has its own on-site parking, though the signage does not specify whether designated accessible parking bays are provided. Additional parking can be found nearby at the adjacent Fairfield Adventure Park / Leisure Centre.
The park is spacious, with a concrete footpath running along the road to the entrance. The main entrance has a wide vehicle gate, which was locked at the time of the visit. Around the oval, there are several covered spectator seating areas, connected by concrete walkways with ramps at the side of the seating, providing step-free access along the grandstand.
The amenities building includes male and female toilets and an accessible (unisex) toilet with baby-change facilities, served by a concrete ramp with handrails. Please note: at the time of the visit, the toilet block — including the accessible toilet — was locked, so the facilities could not be accessed or inspected. Visitors who require the accessible toilet may wish to contact Fairfield City Council in advance to confirm availability.
