Iglesia de la Concepción

Santa Cruz's oldest church, founded in the early 1500s, with volcanic stone arches, carved wooden ceilings and gilded altarpieces. It's the landmark of the historic Concepción quarter.

Place: There's one accessible entrance, on Calle La Filarmónica. It's an arched side door with a small metal ramp over the threshold, signposted "Rampa de acceso". The main entrances have steps. Inside, the marble floor is flat and smooth, with wide aisles between the columns and pews.

Parking: The nearest car parks are Parking Ramón y Cajal and Parking Plaza Weyler, both within about 800 m. The MUNA ramp also connects to the area, head up: the surrounding streets are cobbled.
