Hawthorn Park

Hawthorn Park (previously known as Fitzroy Street Reserve) is a relaxed neighbourhood park managed by Fairfield City Council, located in a quiet residential area. The park features a wide open lawn shaded by mature trees, a children's playground, and a seating area — making it a pleasant spot for families and locals alike.

The park has four entrances: two on St Kilda Street, one at the intersection of Fitzroy Close and Hawthorn Street, and one on Fitzroy Close.

The path is generally accessible, though some uneven sections and raised concrete joints were observed along the route, which may present challenges for wheelchair users or people using mobility aids.

The playground area features a rubber surface, which provides a more stable and cushioned ground compared to grass, though the transition between the concrete path and the rubber surface should be noted by mobility aid users. Seating area available near the playground.

There is no accessible parking at this park. Street parking is available along the surrounding roads. No accessible toilet facilities on site.
