Public transports

· The nearest recorded public transport point is Cabramatta Station, approximately 450 metres from the venue.

· The route is continuous and step-free, with sufficient width for wheelchair access.

· No steep slopes, crossfalls, broken surfaces, gravel, grass, tree roots or other obstacles were recorded.

· A road crossing is required. A drop kerb, safe traffic signals and adequate crossing time are available, with no other crossing risk recorded.

· There is no clear signage directing visitors from public transport to the accessible entrance.

Drop-off point

· A safe drop-off point is available.

· A step-free route is available after drop-off, with enough space for a wheelchair, transfer or lifting equipment.

· There is no rain shelter at the drop-off point.

· Traffic, gradient, kerb or surface risks were recorded, so users should assess the route carefully.

· The recorded drop-off point is Dutton Lane, Cabramatta NSW 2166, approximately within 100 metres from the entrance.

2. Place / Path

Entrance

· The main entrance is step-free and easy to find; accessible-entry signage was not clearly recorded.

· A permanent ramp is available and was not recorded as too steep, narrow, slippery or missing handrails/platforms.

· No staff assistance, bell, phone call, card or waiting procedure is required.

· The entrance has an automatic door. The opening is wide enough, with no high or uneven threshold and adequate wheelchair turning space.

Accessible parking

Accessible parking is available in Dutton Plaza Car Park. The best entry is from Dutton Lane East via Hughes Street. The accessible parking bays are closest to the Dutton Lane East entrance, where the lifts, toilets, parents room and pay station are also located.

Internal path

· A continuous step-free route connects the entrance with the main service areas.

· The internal route is wide enough; narrow points, thresholds and turns were recorded as passable.

· The floor is level, slip-resistant and well maintained, with no movement obstacles, significant slopes or objects blocking the route.

· The route remains passable when crowded.

· Service counters were recorded as suitable for wheelchair users. Major areas have clear signage, and no area was recorded as accessible only by stairs.

Lifts / Hoisting equipment

· No lift or platform hoist is available or required for the surveyed public area.

Seating and facilities

· Standard-height removable-chair tables were not identified.

· Wheelchair knee clearance, outdoor seating and dedicated wheelchair seating spaces were not confirmed.

· Shops and main facilities in the plaza were recorded as accessible.

3. Accessible toilet

· An accessible toilet is recorded inside Dutton Plaza on the ground level, approximately 100-150 metres straight ahead from the shopping-centre entrance.

· The route to the toilet is step-free, easy to find and clearly signed.

· The toilet is unisex/shared. The door is manual and was not recorded as heavy, but the doorway and internal space are narrow.

· Wheelchair access is possible but cramped, and the survey did not consider the transfer space beside the toilet sufficient.

· The basin and fittings may be difficult to reach. No emergency call device or adult changing table was recorded.

· No staff assistance or special procedure is required. The toilet was operational and unobstructed, but cleanliness and maintenance were limited.

· The survey recommends using the accessible toilet at Cabramatta Station where possible because Dutton Plaza's accessible toilet is small and difficult for wheelchair users.
