Open playground with loose sand surfacing and shade sails overhead. The sand area is surrounded by flat grass lawn. No fence or gate. Seating on the edge. A paved path runs through the park nearby; reaching the playground means crossing grass and then loose sand.
There are shaded park benches nearby with two public BBQs, each with two hot plates. There are plenty of bins, and an undercover area that lacks seating. All of this sits on grass with no paths.
The grass is firm and flat, with a slight gradient appearing near the edges of the park.
Accessible toilets
There is no accessible toilet in the park. There is a public toilet block but none of the bathrooms are accessible, despite what online sources might say. The closest public accessible toilet is in the St Kilda Sea Baths Complex, located ~700 m south east.
Accessible parking
The closest accessible parking is located on 349 Beaconsfield Parade and requires heading northwest to Crowderoy Street to cross over to the park (~300 m trip). The next closest accessible parking bay is located on Jacka Blvd, under the foot bridge, by the Captain Cook memorial. From here, one must pass by the memorial and travel through the greater Catani Gardens before reaching the playground (500 m trip).
