Harold Welsey Knight Park also known as Whitebridge Park is a fully fenced playground with lots of play equipment.  This includes slides, fireman pole, rope climbing bridges & ladders, roundabout, seesaw & cubby house. 

The park is set in natural grounds with a large grassed area, picnic tables & covered picnic shelter along with large gum trees that also provide shade.  

There is car parking available just next to the park (accessed via Waran Road), and there are a couple of public toilets located in the car park. There is also a water fountain available, but it’s a bit tricky to spot – it is hidden down in the back corner of the park, adjacent to the car park. The park is very close to the local Whitebridge shops, making it easy to grab a coffee or some morning tea for a picnic beforehand.

This family-friendly beach  is wheelchair accessible and features accessible toilets, barbecue area, function room for hire and parking. Blacksmith's Beach has ramp access & a sand cruiser beach wheelchair free to use during patrolled hours by the Swansea Belmont Surf Lifesaving Club from the September school holidays to April.

Grannies' Pool provides a safe and shallow area to swim & a beach mat stretches along the beach to the hard sand. Blacksmiths has an accessible viewing platform, toilets including accessible toilet facilities (MLAK) & function room for hire - wheelchair accessible and accessible toilet.

There is a playground across the free car park located at the Surf Life Saving Club, along with Blackies Take Away.

Blacksmiths Beach

Redhead Beach is at the northern end of  Nine Mile Beach at Lake Macquarie, popular with families & surfers. 

The beach is patrolled from the September school holidays until April by Redhead Surf Life Saving Club.  Swimming is beside the shark tower at the surf club & there are heaps of rock pools for the kids to play in.

A beach wheelchair is available on request or by approaching the patrol on the day.  A wheelchair ramp is available at the northern end of the area in front of the clubhouse and all areas from the carpark to that ramp are wheelchair accessible, including the kiosk Cargo Espresso Bar.  There is an accessible toilet & shower with MLAK , accessible family room & accessible parking.  

Redhead Beach

St John’s Memorial Park Playground in Tingira Heights is located adjacent to the Fire and Rescue NSW station and great if your kids love fire engines.  Kids can spot the fire truck if the engine bay is open or if the fire truck is going in and out of the fire station.

The playground is small but has lots to offer including a play structure with stairs, double slide, two swings, a regular swing and a baby swing, rope climbing wall, ladder & balancing pods,  firefighters pole, seesaw & musical equipment.  The flooring is a combination of softfall paths and bark chips & the park is unfenced.

There are picnic benches or sandstone blocks that surround the the playground which makes wheelchair accessiblity a problem.

There is no toilet onsite but can be found at Macquarie Fair in Mount Hutton along with coffee and snacks. Parking is on the street

St John's Memorial Park Playground 

Mullington Park on Dunkley Parade in Mount Hutton features a playground on bark surrounded by vast grassed area & paved pathways.

The playground offers swing set with regular, toddler & large group swing, climbing & balancing equipment plus a spinning cone.

The park also features picnic tables & benches, a covered sheltered with BBQ & bubbler.  There is a regular toilet 100m at Mount Hutton Playground, accessible ones 780m away at Lake Macquarie Fair.  There is an Aldi across the street along with coffee from Dunkley Dash Espresso Hut with accessible outisde seating.  

Mullington Park, Dunkley Pde

Webb Park at Redhead Beach, Lake Macquarie has a beach theme to contemplate its beachside location.  With a large wave climbing structure, flying fox, swings, slides & more.

The park offers picnic benches & sheltered BBQs with lead-up pathways & a water fountain.  

Accessible toilets can be found in the park & at Redhead Beach along with accessible parking.

The Joint Cafe & Pizza is across the street from the park & there is another cafe at the Redhead surf club.  

The Ken & Audrey Owens Walkway takes you from the playground via paved pathway & boardwalk down to Redhead Beach.
