Royal Exhibition Building is an accessible venue with step-free access, no ramps & has lifts.  
Lifts are available to other levels but some floors may not be accessible.  The areas are spacious.  
There are accesible toilets at 271 Spring Street, parking at Melbourne Museum & 50 Lonsdale Street.

The venue provides wheelchairs.  There is an accessible cafe and shop. Areas arevery spacious and can fit wheelchairs easily.   There is accessible toilets onsite & accessible parking nearby.

Museo Italiano is an accessible permanent exhibition which draws on and displays the records, images and objects from CO.AS.IT.'s Italian Historical Society.
There is step free entrance, permanent ramp to
automatic doors which is signposted.   
There are venue wheelchairs to use & an accessible shop.  	
Accessible toilet onsite, wheelchair access/ambulant access, and the toilet has a shower.
Accessible parking nearby on the street, further parking can be found at 215 Elgin Street.  


Museo Italiano

We had a mixed experience when we visited the Melbourne Museum earlier this year.  I can only conditionally recommend it as an accessible venue, which is very disappointing.

There is very good disabled parking underneath the building, and the lift to travel to the museum is a reasonable size.

However, the lift within the museum is tiny and not appropriate for a large wheelchair - especially if a carer is needed to accompany the wheelchair user.

This means that a group cannot easily move through the museum together.

When we asked staff for another way to access the upper level, we were directed to a ramp that lead to a wet and cold outdoor garden.  We discovered an indoor ramp by ourselves later in our visit, so *thumbs down* for staff being helpful.

The disabled toilets that we found were ludicrously small.  I would not call them accessible.  There may have been other accessible toilets around but see the point about the unhelpful staff.  Additional accessible toilets can be found at Argyle Place

Finally, some spaces were set up so that it was very difficult to navigate the wheelchair - and we almost ran over a small child as a result!

It was a very disappointing outing.



Actual Melbourne Museum

The Grainger Museum is open to students and researchers by appointment and open to the public throughout the year for events and public programs.
It is a small building on Royal Parade with ramp access from the footpath. 
Street parking is available along Royal Parade. 
Royal Parade carpark is also nearby located south of the museum.  Accessible toilets can be found at Royal Park Playground

Red Stitch Actor's Theatre is an accessible venue with wide ramp to step free entry via manual double doors.  The venue was closed so the interior details are unknown.  
There is one accessible parking space in lot 20m from venue, one accessible parking space on street 50m from venue.

Port Melbourne Beach is located in the suburb of Port Melbourne just a few kilometres from the south-western end of Melbourne's CBD. 

The beach is flat offering safe swimming spots & Mobi-Mat beach access mat, 40m to the water's edge, 10m of mat for parking on the sand available during patrols.

 Mobi-Chair floating beach wheelchair is available during patrol, bookings can be made on the clubs website www.portmelblsc.com.au or (03) 9646 8773. 

The beach offers accessible toilet, BYO hoist, open public shower with spacious changing room. There is one accessible car park in front of the club, a cafe along with shade connected to the club & trees in the area. Tables can be found outside with roll up access along with public toilets that have disability access. There are wide footpaths, resturants, hotels & cafes on Beach Street
