Palm Cove Beach is backed by an esplanade with palm trees & cafes, popular for swimming & fishing on a jetty.

There is a beach wheelchair available free to use anytime, it can be collected from the Palm Cove Surf Life Saving Club.  Just need to ring ahead to check availability 07 4059 1263.

The surf club has a ramp from the front entrance & has step free access from the car park entrance.  There is parking on the road near the patrol hut & the main car park is on the other side of the road & there is walkway with access to the beach.  

There are two disabled toilets, one downstairs & one upstairs which can be accessed via lift.  

Further accessible toilets can be found at Williams Esplanade opposite the Lifeguard Hut & also Goldfinch Park.  

Palm Cove Beach

Vivo is a spacious and welcoming venue open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a variety of seating areas both indoors and outdoors. There’s plenty of room to choose where you’d feel most comfortable.

While the venue does have a few steps throughout, it’s generally manageable for people with mobility needs, especially with support from the staff.

There’s a side entrance with a ramp on the right-hand side when you’re facing the restaurant with your back to the beach. This ramp gives access to the terrace area, and staff can also assist by setting up a portable ramp to help you get inside the main dining area — just give them a heads-up beforehand if possible.

The accessible toilet is also reached via the same side entrance. The staff will happily open the gate and assist you through. A ramp at the back leads to the toilet area, which is clean and tidy, and from there you’ll find yourself in the interior part of the venue.

Overall, while there are a few levels and steps around, Vivo is accessible with support, and the friendly staff are ready to help make your visit enjoyable.
