Mid North Coast Maritime Museum

Mid North Coast Maritime Museum is at 6 William Street, Port Macquarie. The museum is run largely by volunteers and has several sites, including the William Street museum and the Pilot Boat Shed on Clarence Street. Its collection tells stories about people who worked, lived and travelled on the sea and around the Hastings River.

• Opening: Generally 10am–4pm daily according to the current listing.

• Wheelchair access: The museum states that most of the museum has disability access, with ramp or lift access to exhibition areas.recommends contacting them for specific access requirements.

• Grounds: Accessible routes are available, although some ground surfaces may be rough. And the grass is soft not too big .

Toilet : on site toilet is available but it’s for staff only can be used as an emergency.

The nearest toilet will be near the town beach . The beach is located just opposite of the museum. Will take 1 minute drive . It’s totally accessible and it’s not very clean . It’s a unisex toilet .

Parking : parking is available at the town beach as well . Disable parking is available with a valid card .

Public transport: the museum is located on the Main Street . So it’s very easy to get there. Also people can hire taxi but there is no parking available on the main street. Have to park in front of the mantra observatory hotel .
