King George V Playground

King George V Playground is a community play space within King George V Park on Cowper Street in Port Kembla.

🛝 General Area

• The playground is next to the sports fields, King George V Oval, Port Kembla Skate Park, and close to Port Kembla Beach.

• It has five different slides, three types of swings – including a nest swing for inclusive play – a climbing pyramid net and a rope balance spinner.

• The playground has a soft-fall rubber surface and is covered by a shade sail, but it is not fenced.

• A water bottle refill station with an attached dog bowl is located near the sheltered picnic tables and barbecues.

• Sheltered picnic tables and benches are close to the playground.

🚗 Parking

• Four perpendicular accessible parking spaces in the carpark.

• Access aisles are available between the accessible parking spaces, and drop kerbs are nearby.

• No time limit for parking.

🚌 Public Transport

• A bus stop is located next to the carpark on Cowper Street.

🚻 Toilets

• No accessible toilets onsite.

• The closest accessible toilets are across the road at Port Kembla Pool. They may be closed during winter.
