Entry and layout
Karma Tea House is a vegan restaurant that may be accessible for some wheelchair users, however there is a very small step at the entrance (approximately a quarter of a standard step). Entry is through a normal single door that should fit most wheelchairs. The door is light and opens with a push. Access is step-only (no ramp option).
Inside, the venue is flat but small. The tables can be moved to create space for a wheelchair, and staff are willing to help rearrange tables and assist if needed. Without moving tables, the space can feel a little cramped due to the venue size. There are no tight corners and no narrow aisle to the counter.
Parking
There is time-limited street parking on Keira Street, including one accessible parking space. There are also two paid car parks on Market Street: one when turning left off Keira Street, and another on the right. Both paid car parks are approximately a 5-minute walk from the venue.
Kerb access / pathway
There is no kerb cut directly near the venue. The nearest kerb cut is around a couple of minutes’ walk (similar to the nearby Crazy Pasta location).
Toilets
There are no toilets onsite, including no accessible toilet. The closest toilets are across the street in Wollongong Central mall, approximately 5 minutes away. The toilets are located past Guzman y Gomez and Schnitz, with a flat pathway. The mall has male and female toilets, as well as an accessible toilet.
Outdoor seating
There is no outdoor seating available.
