Accessible Beach In State Route 33Hampton Beach
Hampton Beach is situated 15kms south of Melbourne CBD & close to Hampton Street full of cafes, resturants, retail & fish & chips. A broad & lengthy expanse of beach around 500 metres patrolled by Hampton Life Saving Club.
The beach is accessible with Mobi-Mat beach access mat all the way to the hard sand & Mobi-Mat beach parking wing to set up on the sand. The MobiChair and SandCruiser beach wheelchairs available at the Surf Club during patrol hours.
There is an accessible toilet at the beach along with outdoor shower, wide pathways & standard street parking. The path down from the street is approximately 8 degrees gradient. There is shade around the surf club & a cafe open during busy periods.
There are gardens & picnic spot & tables immediately above the beach set just behind the surf club. This is a fantastic spot to retreat to after you've been in the water to seek out some shade with its wide patches of grass and pine trees overhead. All this backed up by a great view over the Sandringham Marina and wider Port Phillip Bay.
