Guulabaa Place of Koala

Open daily from 8:30am to 5pm, Guulabaa's Hub consists of four connected decks, accessible from the sealed/concrete pathway along the roadside directly from the carpark, or via wide steps. All four decks and their connecting bridges are level and accessible, with no stairs. The land gently slopes away beneath The Hub, elevating visitors into the tree canopy by Decks 3 and 4.

Deck 1 hosts the Bunyah Local Aboriginal Lands Council café, connects to the entrance of the Koala Hospital Port Macquarie's new wild koala breeding facility, and provides seating with forest views, alongside The Big Koala sculpture on the Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail. Deck 2 connects to the entrance of WildNets, Deck 3 hosts the Bunyah Bilbay Cultural Centre, and Deck 4 offers an open, expansive space with sweeping views across the forest canopy.

The carpark provides level, accessible parking with a sealed footpath leading directly onto the site, with the road and carpark itself fully sealed. Coach parking is available, and an overflow carpark is located opposite the main gate on Guulabaa Way if needed.

Toilets are accessed via a sealed footpath from the carpark, opposite The Hub, and include one accessible toilet designed for those using mobility aids, wheelchairs, or prams. Toilets operate on a standard non-flush system, consistent with other NSW State Forest facilities. Visitors are asked to take rubbish, nappies, and other non-organic waste home with them, as bins are not provided on site.

Guulabaa Cathedral, located beneath the highest deck of The Hub, offers a sheltered space supported by hardwood columns and timber beams, protected from sun and rain. Koala Conservation Australia's Wild Koala Breeding facility has level access directly from The Hub deck and has been designed with inclusive access in mind.
