Fred Smith Reserve is located on the Hastings Foreshore, close to Pelican Park Recreation Centre & Hastings Boat Ramp.
There is a nautical-themed playground with the main climbing structure being a pirate ship along with swings, slides, sand pit, rocking boat, spinning pole, 4 large pelican statues & more.
Next to the playground is skate park along the Hastings Foreshore along with an outdoor gym with six fitness stations, accessible bike & walking trails & an off-leash dog area.
There are also picnic tables, seating, undercover area, BBQs, huge grassy area & accessible toilets.
A large outdoor chess board & a table tennis facility can be found beside Pelican Park Recreation Centre & the Hastings playground.
