SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium

Mooloolaba Main Beach is a lengthy stretch of beach favoured by families.  
The beach offers accessible beach matting, subject to beach conditions & a Beach Wheel Chair & life jackets are available free of charge during patrolling hours, 7 days a week.  Please see the Lifesavers or Lifeguards on arrival  at the Patrol Tower directly in front of the Clubhouse building. The main drag offers a bounty of cosmopolitan cafes, restaurants, and bars along with a growing collection of boutiques. 

The Wharf Mooloolaba is a short wander away. It’s here you’ll find the departure point for the Sunreef Swim with the Whales experience (unfortunately there is no wheelchair acces on any of their vessels) the Yacht Club & Sea Life Sunshine Coast.  There are also a variety of eating options here, large majority specialising in seafood.  

There are accessible toilets located on the esplandade including Loo With A View, Arthur Parkyn Park, Charles Clarke Park & Mooloolaba Central.  Accessible parking can be found at the Sunshine Plaza.

Mooloolaba Beach

Alexandra Headland, known to the locals as 'Alex', is a coastal community situated on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.  Alexandra Headland Beach is a very popular beach patrolled year round and home of Alexandra Surf Life Saving Club with beautiful parks,  picnic & BBQ facilities, restaurants, cafes & take away food outlets nearby.

The beach offers metal access ramps, one directly opposite Okinga Road is a purpose built ramp with ample room for several chairs or mobility scooters to park.  For those with 4-wheel drive chairs or a super fit attendant Alex boasts three sturdy concrete ramps. One next to the lifesaver's tower, another directly in front of the surf club – just behind the bright boards - and a third just beyond the skate park. Mooloolaba also has a ramp by their tower and the Spit Boardwalk for those with electric chairs or that robust attendant.

The beach also has accessible beach matting paving the the way across the dunes to the waters edge.  An accessible bathroom can be found within the SLSC, Wilkes Family Park on Alexandra Parade & Nelson Park Katoa Street.  

Alexandra Headland Beach

The Wilkes Family Park is located to the south of Alexandra Surf Club behind the lifeguard tower.  Just back from the beach the park offers spectacular views of the water.

The park provides a playground, including a fort for climbing and sliding, swings, seesaw, rotating ring and a springer.

There are shelters with barbecue and picnic facilities, open grassed areas as well as public amenities including an accessible bathroom & car parking.

The paved pathway runs along the foreshore, there is direct access to the patrolled beach which also offer beach matting & a cafe at the surf club kiosk.  

Wilkes Family Park

Buhk Family Park is located right on the beachfront to the north of Alexandra Heads Surf Club.  The park offers a playground, large open grassed areas with a section with seating,  tables & BBQ facilities.

There are lounge day bed seats  along the waterfront with flat lead-up paved pathway.  The park is also locate alongside the Alex Skate Park, one of the most popular skate park in Queensland with off street parking.  

Alexandra Headland beach is closeby along with shops, cafes, restaurants & accessible bathroom at the surf club & Wilkes Family Park.
