The Bower Reserve in The Bower Estate at Medowie offers two playgrounds one with large rope climbing structure, double slide, ock climbing wall, a spider web swing, a child and baby swing, a cubby that kids can climb up into different ways with a ‘shop’ underneath, a spiral fireman pole, a suspension bridge, monkey bars, balance beam & logs.
The second smaller playground is tractor themed & features a slide, climbing net, tunnel, swing set, fireman's pole, bouncy kangaroo & echidna.
There is an exercise area & a half-sized netball/basketball court all connected by a wide, meandering path perfect for scooters, balance bikes, ride-ons & wheelchairs.
The Bower Reserve also features metal sculptures of Australian native animals scattered throughout along with an oversized, metal version of a paper plane..
The playground groundcover is woodchip and the many trees & large grassed areas provide a natural, peaceful setting. There are four large undercover picnic tables, accessible toilet & parking.
