La Laguna's public library, at Calle Juan de Vera 9 in the historic centre. It's set around a beautiful traditional courtyard garden.

Place: There's step-free access at the entrance. You go through a security gate, which is wide enough for two people. The reception counter is quite high, but staff are happy to help. The whole library is flat, with smooth stone and wooden floors and wide doorways between rooms. A lift connects the two floors and you can use it on your own. Some shelves are quite high, so ask staff for help reaching books. There are work tables right beside the lift upstairs.
Children's area: It's on the ground floor, with wide spaces and flat paths. Go through the main door and the second entrance, follow the corridor, and it's on the left-hand side. The ground-floor courtyard is where you'll find the lift up to the first floor.
Parking: There are accessible parking bays on the eastern side of the centre, two streets away.
Peeing: There's an accessible toilet on the first and the second floor. It can be locked, so ask staff to open it. The door opens by hand. Both are spacious with grabrails and clean.
