A relaxed, countryside-style spot right by the water, spacious both indoors and out. Overall it’s largely manageable for people using mobility devices, with a few things worth knowing in advance — mainly a gravel car park and a couple of very small steps of less than 1cm each, just small bumps.

Getting there: drop-off and parking

You can be dropped off right at the entrance or in the nearby area — there’s plenty of room and very little passing traffic, so a drop-off is easy to manage but not accessible designated drop-off spot. The car park is open and spacious but surfaced with gravel, which isn’t adapted for wheelchairs or larger mobility devices; it’s still doable, but the gravel makes wheeling harder going. Neither the drop-off point nor the parking is fully adapted at the entrance, but both are workable.

The entrance

There’s a small step at the entrance — about 1 cm — so it isn’t completely flat, but it’s manageable and there’s a handrail to help. From the doorway there’s a slight change in level: a little ramp leads down to the first entrance, and a further ramp takes you through to the main area beside the water.

Getting around

The space is genuinely spacious. Tables are well spread out, both outside and in the indoor area, so there’s room to move around comfortably.

Accessible toilet

On the left just after the entrance. The door threshold is narrow if only one of both doors is open, and can be opened wider for easier access but you’ll have to ask the staff inside first unfortunately. The accessible toilet is kept locked, so you’ll need to ask a staff member to open it — the team are happy to do this on request and are accommodating. There’s a small lip of about half a centimetre at the doorway, so the floor is slightly uneven going in. The door is manual and opened any time you ask. Inside, there are grab rails on both sides and plenty of space. As this is also a sports club, the accessible toilet sits inside the first-aid room — handy to know, just in case.

Good to know

• Drop-off at the entrance: easy, low traffic but not accessible designated and not well paved.

• Parking: gravel, open and spacious, not fully adapted — manageable with care.

• Entrance: ~1 cm step ; ramps to the first entrance and down to the waterside terrace area but no handrails.

• Accessible toilet: kept locked (ask staff), ~0.5 cm lip at the door, grab rails both sides, spacious; located by the first-aid room
