Torakina Beach is a beautiful little river beach on the Brunswick River, an easy and accessible walk from Brunswick Heads cafes and restaurants. There is plenty of parking although it can be very busy during peak periods and weekends. 
There is one accessible parking space and options for drop off. 
From the car park there is a concrete path down to the beach and then full matting path on to the small sandy beach. The matting is in place permanently but it only runs to the top of the beach as opposed to the water's edge.
There are toilets which are generally clean and well kept and include accessible toilet facilities. 

Torakina Beach

Brunswick Heads is a pretty seaside town located on the North Coast of NSW about 20 minutes drive north of Byron Bay. Boasting stunning beaches and a trio of gorgeous natural attractions, The Brunswick River, Torakina Beach and Park and Brunswick Heads Main Beach. Brunswick Heads Main Beach is a wide flat sandy beach is popular with families & visitors. Brunswick Heads Surf Lifesaving Club is responsible for patrolling the area on weekends and public holidays from September to April each year. There is a wide track designed for wheelchair access and free of charge hire of a sand-cruiser beach wheelchair from the nearby Brunswick Heads Community Centre located next to the tennis courts which are across the road from the SLSC. Loan of the chair must be arranged by telephone at least 24 hours in advance. Call Brunswick Valley Community Centre on 02 6685 1498. Showers are located at a number of beach entrances and the nearest amenities block is directly in front of the tennis courts opposite the beach entrance where the SLSC & tower are located. Plenty of places to park along this road, with grassy dunes leading down to the beach. Between these is a nature strip interspersed with park benches and picnic tables under shady trees. There are 2 riverside playgrounds, nearby plenty of eateries & a very flat town to meander.

Brunswick Heads Main Beach

A lovely riverside park located opposite the Brunswick Hotel. The large playground consists of an interconnected climbing frame with slides, fireman pole and flying fox. A pair of swings complete the equipment however,the playground does not have a shade sail only shade is from the Norfolk Pines that line the riverfront. Across the road there are a wide range of eateries to choose from along with number of shaded riverfront picnic tables & sheltered BBQs. There is also a large undercover picnic seating area to the left of the playground. The next building along the grassy parkland houses the public toilets. The shopping precinct just across the road offering a range of shopping options including boutique style stores, local arts & crafts, health food storem, bakery & convenience stores. The town is very flat so perfectly suited to wheelchairs & strollers.
