⚠️ Sogo Department Store — not all entrances are accessible. The entrance in front of Uncle J supermarket has a ramp and automatic doors; other entrances may not, so this is the one to aim for.

⚠️ Important note: while the plaza/walkways themselves are flat, roughly 80% of individual shop and café entrances around the centre have steps at their doorway — even where the surrounding path is level. Confirmed inaccessible entrances include:

🔴 Discover Indonesia (retail) — more than one step, uneven heights

🔴 De’ Teras Hijau (café) — step up at entrance

🔴 DUA Kafe — steps at entrance

🔴 One further café along the road — many steps

🟢 A minority of shops (retail, barbers, massage centres) do have direct level entrances

    Takeaway-friendly street cafés

Even where full seating isn’t step-free, staff at several street cafés are happy to take your order and bring it out — no need to enter:

🟢 Juice Nusantara — has table and terrace seating right at a level entrance, so you can also sit in comfortably

🟡 Other nearby street cafés — staff typically able to assist with takeaway orders at the counter/kerb even if the doorway itself has a step

    🅿️ Parking

No designated accessible parking bays — it’s all general parking, but spaces are generously sized, so large vehicles/vans have plenty of room. Three main options:

    1. Valley entrance (near “Parking for Charter Bus” signage) — the calmest, most spacious drop-off

    2. In front of the main gate, across the street

    3. Beside Sogo Department Store — go inside and cross past the department store to the area known as North Gate, Sogo Loddes

A cement ramp also lets cars into the car park directly at Bali in Bali Arts & Crafts on Jl. Pantai Mengiat (turn left just past the building).

📍 Suggested meeting point: on Jl. Pantai Mengiat, near Bali Surf Nusa Dua and DUA Kafe — close to the Sogo Department Store (Bali Collection) entrance.

    🚻 Peeing

One small accessible toilet, located behind the money exchange shop, between Garlic Ballet restaurant and 69 Slam retail shop (marked “Disabled” and “Customers Only / Khusus Pengunjung”). Points to note:

Door is manual and quite heavy

Threshold is narrow, and the internal space is small

Handrail is on the right-hand side and would benefit from being higher

Entry can be tricky: an uneven raised platform on the right-hand side may hinder entrance

A carpet at the doorway hides a small step that’s easy to overlook

Getting there: Turn off Jl. Pantai Mengiat toward the Bali Collection entrance (signposted, opposite the Grand Hyatt turn-off). For the calmest drop-off, use the Valley/Charter Bus parking area. Alternatively, the cement ramp just past Bali in Bali Arts & Crafts leads into the main car park.

Overall rating: 🟡 — flat, easy-to-navigate common areas, but most individual shopfronts are not step-free; the one accessible toilet has notable design flaws; staff-assisted takeaway is a good workaround; parking is general (not designated) but spacious.
