    Altona Beach

    Altona Beach is a popular beach in Melbourne's West with beach matting down to the calm clean water. Altona Beach is also well-known for its pier which stretches 500 metres out over the water offering views out to Port Phillip Bay.

    A wide pathway along The Esplanade stretches the length of the beach & the shared bike and walking trail is part of the Hobsons Bay Coastal Trail. Weaver’s Reserve is located nearby & has an accessible changing facility, with hoist available. During the summer months, beach wheelchairs are available for free hire on weekends during 12 noon and 5pm. Walking frames are also available for hire. Bookings can be made via the Hobson Bay City Council. Accessible parking can also be found nearby.
