Welcome to Barcelona Airport! Be ready to fly free of worries.
The entire precinct is fully connected by elevators, flat surfaces, and most importantly, people ready to assist you. The yellow-dressed assistants know exactly where to take you, but if you prefer to go solo, your taxi drops off right at the entrance. Accessible parking spots are allocated next to the lifts in each terminal.
Drop-Off and Accessibility Parking
T1: Curbside on Departures roadway (Floor 3 sidewalk); adapted bays in Express Car Park (P1EX) right outside. T2A/B/C: Curbside on Departures/Arrivals sidewalks (Floor 0/1); reserved spots fronting each sub-terminal near shuttles.
After Check-In and Security
Some airlines allow mobility devices to the gate (not always the case here). Otherwise, follow PMR signs to the VIP/fast-track security lanes—head all the way right in T1 (right of main hall) or T2 (T2A right forecourt; T2B/C right of check-in). These offer extra space for you and companions. Information desk staff can direct you to fast-track PMR access. Airlines request assistance at the admin desk on arrival—staff meet you curbside and escort to gate.
Post-Security Path
Head directly to boarding gates past the Passadlle (walkway). Elevators are right in front of you and take you to shopping, restaurants, and lobby—or to a dedicated PMR/accessible pathway for non-EU flights. Staff will spot you and assist like VIPs (opening doors—see photos); otherwise, head to the bottom level like everyone else. Restrooms are accessible right behind the lifts, with a rest area directly in front of the elevators. Info boards ahead detail everything; all shops, bars, and eateries are flat and accessible. VIP areas are reachable via elevators very close to the stairs. Most toilets have dedicated accessible rooms.
All shops, restaurants, and bars are on a flat level and fully accessible.
