Circular Quay is the focal point for nearly every visitor to Sydney. It’s home to the Opera House, has amazing views of the Harbour Bridge, and easy access to the Botanic Gardens (via a lift, so you don't need to contend with the hill).

Wander along the flat waterfront pathways to see the many street artists performing, shop, or eat at one of the many restaurants and cafes (after a visit to the Opera House, have a cocktail at the lively Opera Bar with spectacular harbour views). 

With Sydney's famous ferries, you can visit many other exciting places, most of the wharves on the network are accessible. It's only a short hop under the majestic Harbour Bridge around to our other Hotspots of Darling Harbour or Barangaroo. 

Circular Quay is well connected, with its own train station and the nearby Wynyard station. And if the train doesn't take you where you want to go, you might find the tram network does - fully accessible too.

Take care though when venturing inland from Circular Quay itself. It gets very steep very quickly in some parts (there are steep hills and older pathways going up into The Rocks). Very hard work if you use a manual wheelchair.
